Not that it matters, we were chatting today and once she realized the Banfield I do go to didn't tell me about their wellness plan she took the time to explain it in detail and answered all of my kitten questions on things our own vet glossed over. “Doctors Kerley and Dass are absolutely AMAZING at Anthony Animal clinic. The quality of care is so good, and they and all of their staff are extremely compassionate. This summer, one of our dogs was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Lymphoma and it took over very quickly. After the diagnosis was confirmed, Dr. Kerley called me from his cell phone to go over options and to see how we wanted to approach it. He told me I could take some time and invited to call him back on his cell if I had any more questions. Dogs who have this form of Lymphoma often do not survive more than 3-4 weeks after it is identified. Anthony Animal Clinic took such great care of our dog and did everything to keep him comfortable (with no narcotics or pain killers!) and happy so we could enjoy the life he had left for as long as possible. If I called the office with a question, they always found a doctor to talk directly to me and I never felt rushed or hurried to let them go. They were so compassionate and caring. Although average life expectancy with his form of Lymphoma was 3-4 weeks, our pup lived for almost two months, with a decent quality of life. At the end, when he was clearly not feeling well and did not improve, we had to make the terrible decision to have him put to sleep. Before we did that, Dr. Kerley came in and examined him thoroughly. He confirmed that there was nothing else that we could do for him. We had known it was coming, but it was still hard to hear. They said we could take as long as we needed to tell him goodbye and to just knock on the door when we were ready. And the cost was very low. I thought I had heard wrong and asked, but they said that the doctors didn't want to "make money" from euthanizing people's pets. I can't say enough about the quality of care that Anthony Animal Clinic provides, nor about the compassion and sincerity of every single person in that office. And -- they have the lowest prices that I am aware of in town. I commented on that once, and they said that they "want people to be able to afford to take care of their pets." Anyway -- there are not enough superlatives in the English language for me to describe Anthony Animal Clinic. I recommend their services unreservedly.”

“This is a very affordable vet for what they offer. They're extremely knowledgeable and make sure that you're not just hearing gibberish when talking about your pet. They take time to answer questions and explain everything well. I got my significant other a pug puppy (his dream dog) and since they come with a lot of health issues, the doctor answered all the questions we had and our pup Sumo loves the people! I'm now taking both my adult dogs here ?”

We were told the next day we could make the decision of putting him through more medication and taking him home knowing this would happen again or sadly putting him down. He was older and we didn’t want to be selfish so we decided it was time. THEY WERE INCREDIBLE handling us and our dog through everything. From telling us to helping him go. Just like humans you don’t expect the same level of personal care in an ER as you do your personal vet (especially if your dog has an attitude problem). They made the entire experience the best and easiest it could have been. They let us stay with him as long as we needed before letting him go.We decided to keep his ashes and decided on a box. When we went to pick it up it was beautiful and came along with paw prints, nose prints, a certificate, a paw print in clay, a paw print to plant into flowers…Bringing that home and seeing everything REALLY helped with the closure we desperately needed. I even let other people know this was the place to go. Emergency rooms are scary. This place made it far less. Thank you all for caring for my dog and caring for us.”

“This IS THE BEST VET IN NEW YORK CITY. I've never met a vet more committed to animals in my life. Dr. Appel performed an emergency surgery on my little Persian kitten. Kenny ate something that was blocking his digestive system. He was throwing up and wouldn't eat for days and most likely would have died without the surgery. After speaking with two other animal hospitals in Manhattan, I found this hospital. Unlike other surgeons, Dr. Appel took my fur baby in at around 11pm on a Friday! Most vets aren't even available that late at night without extra fees, but this Dr. was open and quoted me a much more affordable price. He was so attentive and helpful. He's been in business since the 70's and he's still got it! (I saw his diplomas from both Cornell and NYU on the wall in the office). I'm so happy to report my kitty is doing great (2 weeks after his procedure). I'd like to thank Dr. Appel and his staff for an amazing experience. Thank you for saving Kenny's life!
