“I ordered two cakes for a birthday- a traditional cake and a cookie cake. Best cookie cake I’ve ever had (and I eat a lot of them)! It was huge, thick, perfect texture in the middle, and the icing was styled and tasted like a wedding cake. The traditional cake was decorated with real flowers. I could not believe how cheap they were in comparison to the taste and value. Kailey Cales gave me the individualized treatment my wife’s birthday deserved and a decadence of cake far above the price I paid. Will definitely be coming back for more cakes! “As a vegan, I'm always on the lookout for new options in the neighborhood, especially when I'm on the go. I finally had a chance to stop into Canella, which opened earlier this year in February. It's a really cute bakery/cafe with a ton of different desserts to choose from, as well as breads and baguettes, sandwiches and an espresso bar. But, do they have anything vegan??? YES! Right now they offer two different muffins - Banana and Banana Walnut. Super moist yet dense and not oily. Delicious banana flavor and nice muted spices - excellent. Made with soy milk and canola oil - so no eggs, no dairy. They also offer oat, almond or soy milk as alternatives for any coffee drink they make as well. The staff is warm and friendly and tell me they're hoping to add more vegan items in the future. I'll update this when they do. Great addition to the neighborhood!”

“A peer suggested Nostalgia bakery one day and got curious if their baked goods are really good. I love donuts and last weekend my spouse and I drove to buy some. Their customer service was great and he gave us a couple of donut holes for us to taste. They were so far the best I've tasted! It melts in your mouth! We bought a dozen assorted donuts and those were really good as well. I want to try their cake too so I'm planning to order one for my dad's birthday soon! :)”

“Great cake and bake shop! This is a popular chain from the Philippines and they offer a variety of cakes, pastries, breads and other treats. I'm not a big cake fan, but my Filipino friends really enjoy them from here. Lots of flavors to pick from too. Since I don't normally eat cake, I have no point of reference for the pricing. But it was roughly $42 for a regular sized cake. They do have plastic bags here which I am really grateful!!!!! It's nonsense that governor Murphy banned all bags recently, so stupid! Plastic bags are needed, wanted and useful. The bags they have here are sturdy too, so you can reuse them. The store charges roughly 50 cents per bag, which I think is stupid. People need a bag. Just fill the outside of that plastic bag with awesome Red Ribbon logos, some huge detailed photos of the cakes and treats and you have free store advertising every time a customer walks out the store carrying a cake in one of your awesome bags. Everyone on the street seeing those bags with delicious cakes on them will wonder where they can buy a yummy cake like that. Advertising works. Don't charge the customer, just let them help you advertise for free. Parking here is insane unfortunately. This is no fault to the owner of the store. It is how the downtown area of Bergenfield was designed around a hundred years ago when most people had horses and very little traffic, no need for tons of parking. If the very few street parking spots are all full, there are large, free parking lots on the parallel back streets, Portland Ave and Legion Drive. The Portland parking lot is closer to Red Ribbon. Employees are super friendly and helpful. They are also quick to help. There are some indoor seating and during warmer months they have some outdoor seating as well. Very clean inside.”
