“I can not say enough positive things about this business. In the past, I chose Barton's as the florist for my wedding. They were extremely detail orientated, the flowers were gorgeous, and they were available for pick up exactly when promised ( which any bride knows is important, since every second counts on the big day!) I have also ordered birthday cakes, cookies, etc. from their bakery, all of which were absolutely delicious, and decorated beautifully to my exact specifications by their talented staff. Most recently, I contacted their shop very late in the day to order a floral sympathy arrangement. The owner, who is always very kind and accommodating, listened patiently while I described in detail the arrangement that I had in mind. While I was hoping to have the arrangement delivered the following day, I understood that since I was placing the order only about 20 minutes before the close of business that day, a next day delivery may not be an option. Once again, Barton's exceeded my expectations. Not only were they able to delivery the next day, then could also accommodate an A.M. delivery. The following morning, the arrangement arrived before 9:30, so that the person receiving the bouquet was able to enjoy it for the entire day. The flowers were fresh, fragrant, and beautifully arranged. I was as pleased to give them as the intended recipient was to receive them. They also carry many other unique gifts in their shop. Whatever your needs....floral, bakery, or a gift for the hard to shop for person, I would definitely recommend Barton's Flowers & Bakery. You will not be disappointed.”

Well, I am here to tell you everything mentioned about this place is right on, JL is absolutely the best bakery in town. I am a private chef and when my clients are looking for desserts there is no other place that I recommend. The flourless chocolate cake is truly the stuff dreams are made of but everything they make here is top notch and made with very high-quality ingredients. The flavor and texture of everything is as good as it gets and then of course when you look at the products they are as beautiful as they are tasty, you cannot go wrong here. Small artisanal businesses like this have struggled in this area for years replaced by big box stores offering inexpensive or rather cheap mass produced everything. “My boyfriend‘s favorite cake is black forest cake. It is hard to find that cake here in town. I used to purchase this cake from Central Market but my boyfriend has been vegan for two years now. That cake is even harder to find in a vegan option. I was so glad when I was able to find Akki’s. The turnaround time was very quick and the cake presentation was beautiful. The cake was delicious, with all the plants based ingredients to accommodate the birthday boys diet. My boyfriend loved it and so did the non vegan eaters.”
