“I love Raley's in general. This Raley's is wonderful! They have a large variety of products including organic & non-gmo which is what I look for when I grocery shop. The store is clean, & the associates are friendly & helpful. There's also a deli & a large variety of ready made food to choose from. There's even a nice bathroom inside the store which is very convenient. I've never seen that inside a Raley's store.”

“The cookie jar employees are always nice but today they went above and beyond. I have gotten a few birthday cakes there in the past but always kept my options open. After today I will likely get all cakes there from now on. Upon picking up my cake it had slightly fallen apart. The decorator quickly fixed it. I took it home very slowly but before leaving for the party I checked on it to find it a disaster. So I called the cookie jar to ask for help. They called their decorator back in and promised to fix it. Not only did she do an amazing job fixing it she then delivered it to the party on her way home. Sometimes it seems that people have forgotten about simple things that make great customer service and experience. But I can say those at the cookie jar still appreciate it and haven’t forgotten. So if you have tried them check them out. Not only do the great customer service and are always donating to the community but their bakery selection is extremely yummy.”

“If you like donuts, you've got to visit this place. I'm not a huge donut fan, but they do it great. It's a small place without indoor seating, but has fast window service. It feels old-school, small town, and I love that. Great prices, too. Their service is good and the coffee/donuts are spot on. The coffee is not their selling point of course, but the vanilla was cheap and sugary which went perfectly with a cake donut! It's also worth noting that (as of 02/16/19) their hours are 6pm-2pm, great place to swing by on an evening or late night.”

“If I could give a rating higher than five stars, I so would!!! Celebrated my 50th birthday last Sunday and had catered food brought in from Tarts and Truffles (Hazel’s Diner) to our private party aboard Polaris Sunset Cruise Gage boat tour. The food was absolutely scrumptious and just perfect! We chose the Slider buffet, tortellini pasta salad, fresh tossed green salad, fresh fruit, kettle chips and cookie dessert bars. The four different sliders offered were each out of this world delicious!!! Especially with the homemade rolls like my mom used to make!! The dressings and condiments were also bang on!!! The kids and adults alike devoured the chocolate chip bar squares that were thicker than any I’d seen!! My one and only one note of concern is that we thought we had ordered an assorted cookie bar tier that included brownies, mint brownies and lemon squares. I was so looking forward to trying a bite of each of these, only to discover there were only two offerings. Of course the chocolate chip which is always a crowd winner, was gone in a flash, leaving behind the overly sweet and thick raspberry blonde which was not a crowd favorite. If I’d known I’d only have two from the list, I would have opted for my personal favorites of lemon squares and brownies. That one teeny hiccup aside, the food was a complete success!!! They did an amazing job and for having limited space available on the boat, it was tastefully elegant and yet relaxed, with fresh linens, china plates and flowers. I highly, highly recommend Tarts and Truffles catering!!! Looking forward to visiting their Bakery and Diner in Hebron, Hazel’s. If it’s anywhere near as good as what they offered on the boat, you won’t be leaving disappointed or hungry!! Thank you for making my 50th birthday truly one of the best memories!!!”

“Being near Long Beach and all of the summer homes, this is quite the upscale market. It's like a small Target with about anything you might need or want. Very convenient to the Northeast of Michigan City on the way to New Buffalo. Prices are very good, too, and we found one if our favorite Rose wines for under $8! Bakery is outstanding, and all of their meats and fish are as fresh as can be.”
