“I came in for work, but the campground is something that is new to the forest preserves. It was established in 2015, and while they might have killed some oak trees in the construction, the overall location is marvelous. Housed not too far from complete urban control, it is a welcomed retreat from home away from home. It would serve wonders for the citizens of cook county to get away for a camping trip for a weekend.”

My husband love the historic house and place to eat like 1 mile walking to it. And bridge and everything. 1 of the things I brought my husband that he loved to much.”

“I would like to visit again during the summer months. Everything closes after Labor Day. The train tracks were not bad. We brought a fan and had the air conditioner on so we didn't notice it. The staff are very friendly. The cabins are cozy!”

“This little park is a gem. Not fancy, just a parking lot really. Water and electric on site, dump station at end. Most of the 30 ft backins have great view. Steps from the sand. Easy walk to Main Street Huntington Beach. Tuesday night they have a market Weekends a crafters show. Lots of dining if inclined. Way cheaper than Newport Dunes.”

“This is our 2nd stay at the campground over Labor Day weekend and we were, yet again, very pleased with the accommodating service, facilities and cleanliness. Everyone on the staff we encountered were very friendly. The campground is an easy 10 minute trip to Sea Isle City beaches, stores and restaurants. We were with about 8 other families with kids of varying ages and they all found something to do. Highly recommended!”

“I'm so glad we chose to stay at this camping facility. The experience was great from pulling up to the gate house to the wonderful ladies in the office to all the activities to do there. We had a blast on the kayaks and paddleboards . Also we chose to do the Ariel park, it was a very good and challenging experience. The cottage we got was beautiful and clean, we walked through the door and knew we had to stay another night!! We cant wait to come back and stay here next year! Thank you Big Timber Lake for being so kind and we will see you next year!”

“I give this 5 stars. True it has lots of amenities. But the staff is very friendly and helpful. They keep the place clean. Lots of people enjoy the restrooms. A nice hot shower is a bonus when you're camping. It is a wonderful place to hike around Or you can just sit at the lake and read a book. I like the fact that they have chairs already out at the lake. I don't have to drag a chair with me. The location is very convenient to Wildwood Cape May and Atlantic city. How could you be bored here. Also a lot of antiquing in the area.”

“This was my first time staying there and let me just say the staff was great. My check in was quick and detailed. She explained everything and location of the cabin. My firewood came fast. The place and cabin was really nice and clean. The people around you are really nice. I really enjoyed this little getaway. I will be going back and letting my friends know it's a good place to stay. “It is Amazing and reliable! The resort is great, and it is right near the mountain which makes it even better. The staff is super friendly at the resort and mountain. When getting on the lifts at the mountain there is no long line so you just jump in and go. Reasonable prices for tuneups, the food, and the lift tickets! I loved the place and I will surely go there again soon!”

“I had a great time during the Women's Wellness Weekend. I even went on the zip line. WOW! We went canoeing and hiking as well. The food was healthy and good. It was fun talking with other women and just relaxing. The campfire was wonderful too. I would definitely like to go back.”
