“We recently stayed here with our converted cargo trailer, and it was a great stay! The campground was clean and facilities well maintained. We don't have a restroom in our camper, so we used the bathroom and showers on site. They were cleaned daily and even had a lock code. They had daily events, but since we were busy sightseeing we didn't get to attend any. The playground was small but clean. Check in process was easy, and they helped accomodate the fact we needed to be able to walk to restrooms but also had a young child so needed further space from highway. We used a white noise machine in our camper, so the road noise didn't bother us much. Traffic is busy on road in front, but we just waited and we were able to easily pull out each time. They had a staff member guide us to our spot, and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend! Was about 45 minute drive to zoo area and 30 minutes to Honeymoon Island State Park. Will definitely be back!”

“The folks at SunRae StageStop are a pleasure to work with and go the extra mile to ensure your stay is best for you! I stayed at their site for 8 nights and it was very clean with plenty of room for my camper. They even went above and beyond to find and recommend the perfect contractor to do a major repair on my RV - this was a huge help considering it was a complex repair and most RV repair guys won't do. Have no worries, these guys will take care of you. I highly recommend!”

“My family got a lot here late season 2020. It was exactly what we needed since the pandemic was slowing life down. We were welcomed immediately by everyone. The people are friendly, the owner Dave is nice, and we love chatting it up with the Manager Lynn. I can't imagine summers without this place now! Wish we would've found it years ago. The pool is nice in the summer and friends enjoy the horseshoe and corn hole tournaments. Always fun things going on somewhere in the resort. We are lucky to have met forever friends and people who we now consider family . I highly recommend this place”

“Super cool trail and well marked. We did about 6.4 miles and it took 2 hours to complete. The blooms right now are amazing. According to the map it loops around. Not sure though. According to some other hikers once you get higher up the path it isn’t so well maintained. Maybe next time. And don’t forget your adventure pass or $5.00 cash. Luckily we met some really cool people in the parking lot that let us borrow cash. We repaid him via Venmo 😉”

“I love staying at Lake Medina! I stayed in the cabins and they are nice. I liked going on hikes and being able to see the wildlife out there. Then being able to come back, take a swim in the pool and end the night by our campfire. The cabins have everything you need. Fridge, stove, pots, pans etc. The cabins are really clean and the beds are great! They're spacious and nice to relax in.”

Bring electrical and water extensions, 2 No picnic tables and fire pits at your site, there is a huge firepit near the lake, very nice, few picnic tables near the lake but they go fast. “We are here for the summer working on a project in West Bend and we absolutely love our spot overlooking a pond. We have seen 25 different species of birds, been serenaded by frogs to sleep every night all in a quiet campground. Very clean and well maintained. This is not a party campground. They have rules like a lot of other places, just adhere to them its not difficult. The owners have have been very good and kind to us, even worked with us to get us in a little earlier than opening if we had to because of our job starting.”

“One of my favorite places. We have trick or treated twice on campgrounds. Nice splash pad. Beach is really nice for small kids, shallow and sandy beach. Good amount of bathrooms and showers. The trails are nice to walk and connects to the Tammany trace for biking. The whole place including some cabins are dog friendly which is awesome as my Rottweiler loves to splash and play with his human.”

“Boca was a great experience! We stayed at site 16. It had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, perfect distance from the bathroom, and an amazing spot for stargazing! It’s close to the highway, about 5-7 mins. I didn’t have much phone service at the sight with Verizon, but my partner did with AT&T. I definitely recommend for a quick getaway or family vacation!”

“Hardwood Haven Campground is breath taking. We rented a cabin for 4 nights. The cabin we rented was clean and spacious offering a kitchen area equipped with stove, refrigerator sink and microwave. The second story has bed frames perfect for any sized inflatable mattress and is roomy. The front of cabin has a covered porch allowing us to enjoy the view of this areas beauty. There is a bathroom in our cabin and two shower houses on grounds. The shower houses were clean and easy to use. We met several of the seasonal campers and the owners. Everyone was very friendly pointing out their personal favorites of the campground they call their summer home. The owners are very passionate about their grounds keeping every area neat and in good repair. I had the pleasure of talking with Kim and John, the owners, finding them to be very pleasant, down to earth people. We were fortunate to be invited to participate in their flea and craft show event on Saturday meeting several of the area locals and other crafters that share a passion for their choice of artistic abilities. It was fun to set up a small table of my handmade ceramics and join this event. Thank you Harwood Haven for a very pleasant stay.”
