“I am changing my review from one to 4 starts. I received a phone call from Catherine (customer Service). She was kind enough to listen to my concerns and she proposed a solid course of action for improving future customer experience. She also followed up multiple times via email and I certainly appreciate her effort. I really thought that I got a really good deal on a rent a car, however I was not overly impressed with service, vehicle and especially being nickel and dimmed. The highlight of this entire process were both shuttle drivers (to and from the airport). They were EXTREMELY helpful, welcoming and cheerful. Outstanding customer service. Once I got to the office, I felt slightly more colder welcome. It took a while to go through all the paperwork. They did not have a full size vehicle as booked so they 'upgraded' me to a minivan. While I was declining all these questions and additional charges (toll, fuel, insurance) I was told that I don't have 'loss of use' insurance and they will have to charge me (approximately) $10 per day. However, I do have full coverage insurance. They were successful getting additional charge. Then they pulled a vehicle that was at quarter tank of gas, with a huge dent at trunk area, multiple smaller dents and scratches (that we had to add/adjust on original paper work, once I inspected and took photos of the vehicle), and dirty exterior. Overall, very disappointing experience, aside from shuttle drivers.”

“Orlando car rental companies probably all have subpar ratings. Why? They are all super busy and all selling out! Payless was busy but understanding to those patrons who have been waiting in lines. Car selection is good and prices are better than most places. Well worth the wait in my opinion. By rule of thumb, be friendly to the desk staff - being rude and entitled wont get you very far with them.”

“No frills company but a good price for a good car. We were local when renting so the fact that it wasn't actually at the airport was in our favor but they said they do offer a shuttle for those with arrivals and departures. There wasn't a wait to pick up like at some big name rental car companies so that was nice. Paid $14 a day for a new Ford Focus. Over all pretty pleased!”
