“I've reviewed Pit Stop in the past.. but I just have to post again regarding how extremely trustworthy and kind-hearted Luis and Esteban both are. Recently I brought my newest car to them, hoping that they could repair the damage done by another repair shop. They did NOT let me down.. Esteban fixed the problem, which really took some creative thought, as it was an unusual repair. They've worked miracles for me in the past also. I drove a 1989 Toyota cargo van for 27 years and honestly Luis and Esteban were the lifeline for that old van for a long time. They kept it going. And while I was shopping for a newer (used) vehicle; I brought each car to them to find any problems. They did detailed inspections on each car I brought them and they made me aware of any issues, (large or small). Another feature of Pit Stop is lower prices. For the last repair I needed to have; another shop quoted the charge would be $746.68... Esteban did the repair for $225. I love those brothers and will always remain a loyal dedicated customer.”

“I’ve been having the worst luck with my vehicle lately. I was driving down 1-9 & felt that my car was off, then heard an unusual thumping sound that I have never heard before & then a strong odor. Luckily it happened right before I passed this shop and luckily the shop was less than a minute after this happened. Panicking inside I stopped and spoke with the Guys (managers/owner) & told them what was going on. They were ON IT! They checked out my vehicle. Got a quick diagnostics & told me what was wrong and even brought me in and showed me. They were very Thorough & Knowledgeable. They gave me an estimate which wasn’t half as bad as I thought it would be & went to work. It was painless. The atmosphere is comfortable as well. I was very satisfied with the business, their work, & the hospitality. I think it was meant that I find this place. JJ Bergamo will be my new spot. I look forward to doing future work with them! “Darrel and his team really took great care of us! But first, some back story... We had bought three Hyundais from Priority Hyundai since 2019. When the paint on my wife's white 2018 Hyundai began peeling off in 2022, we asked Priority to do something about it. They gave us the runaround throughout most of 2023. We clearly were not a priority! We asked for the manager numerous times. He never returned our calls. Eventually, they took pictures of the vehicle to send up to corporate to get corporate support for fresh paint. We were told to wait at least six weeks to get a response. We checked in at the time we were told to. They never actually sent the pics! Hyundai corporate then told us to try Checkered Flag Hyundai. At this point my wife and I were really frustrated. My wife set an appointment with Checkered Flag a week or two in advance. We got there for our appointment, which was confirmed the day before, and were promptly told they couldn't help us because we didn't buy our vehicle there. Our time was disrespected and wasted! My wife laid into the manager, never using any foul language, but making her frustration clear. Instead of being a problem solver, the manager just told her there's nothing she could do about it. I explained to the lady that we are a Hyundai family and it would be good for their business to handle this situation and take care of our paint. I told them we'd buy future vehicles from them and leave a glowing review. Finally, she agreed to take pictures to send to corporate. The manager never actually sent the pics. We finally went to Hall Hyundai in Elizabeth City. Darrel greeted me with a warm smile and a heart for service! He looked my vehicle over, took pics, and was straight with me. He said he wasn't sure that Hyundai would cover the cost, but he would send the pics in and get back to me in 2-3 days. One day later, Darrel called me to tell me that Hyundai would cover 100% AND provide a rental car while we waited! Darrel was so meticulous and cared so much about getting the job done right that he called me when the paint was initially dry and said, "I'm not happy with how it turned out. I want to get this right. Keep the rental for a few more days." That's a man and a team that takes pride in doing right by their customers!!! A few days later, I returned the rental and picked up the car. Not only was the paint perfect, but they detailed the interior of the vehicle for us as well! Because of Darrel's kindness, because he treated us like valued guests and human beings, because he did not treat us like a number, we will only buy our next Hyundai from Hall Hyundai in Elizabeth City!!! Thank you Darrel and team Hall! You restored our faith in people in the service industry!”
