“Fascinating little cemetery in the middle of Prospect Park. It is fenced, still private and still in use, belonging to the Quakers of Brooklyn. It is a little hard to find, and is fenced off from the rest of the park. It pre-dates not only the park, but Brooklyn as a whole, too, having been founded in 1849. Montgomery Clift is buried here at the request of his Quaker mother.”

“Beautiful, peaceful cemetery with deep history amongst its rolling hills and curving pathways. The older part, on the Forest Hills side, is a lot more interesting with its old majestic graves than the newer part, the Briarwood side. The Briarwood side is really close to the E / F subway station.”
