But once inside, and once you talk to the staff, you soon realize that this is a diamond in the rough. A surprising amount of merchandise is on hand, most of it standard convenience/liquor store fare, like cigarettes, liquor, chips, candy, lottery tickets, etc, but look a bit further and you'll also find t-shirts, more expensive bottles of alcohol, and of course, the most reliable Western Union service in all of Riverbank. And the staff is super-duper friendly! Sounds odd, but whenever I'm in Riverbank, I ALWAYS make it a point to stop in and say hi to the staff of Star Market.”
