“Sucked rude dirty unprofessional slow no experience in customer service never gonna go to vallero again spend your money else where I went to that store constantly and always had the pleasure to meet (Sophia) ever time I tried to go and buy something put some glass anything she denies it I'm not rude I don't say anything to her she was offended when she saw me getting a fountain drink and there was straws and the counter before I arrived I was serving myself some soda and I accidently dropped a straw on the ground straw that was on the edge and she got really upset saying it ain't her job to clean up after me in a really rude tone I responded it's your job to maintain a clean store environment that's all I said the whole time she was insulting me and didn't want to give me service I even pick up the straws on the floor not just the one I dropped. You guys lost a customer 👎”

“I have lived in the area for just over 3 years. I would normally stop at Einstein's, Loaf & Jug, Maverick, or any one of the other coffee shops nearby, first thing in the morning. However, over the last several months, I have only come to Maverick for my morning coffee. There is a young man that works there named Griffin. The first time I saw him at the store, he was very friendly and we chatted for maybe a minute or so - just small chit-chat, since there were no customers behind me. The next time I was in the store, he remembered me and greeted me like he knew me. So I introduced myself and he told me his name. I have started going to Maverick every morning for coffee, because I know someone is there that is going to be friendly. That sounds mighty 'needy' of me. LOL But it's true. First thing in the morning, before I have had a cup, it is nice to go somewhere I know I am going to feel 'at home' because of the friendly clerks. Both Doug and Spencer, now also greet me by name every morning. All 3 young men are great people and I was hoping they might get acknowledged for their good job. I think it would go a long ways, if all clerks learned to recognize regular customers, and greet them the way Griffin and the others greet me. Sincerely, Danny”

“This little place on the corner is a nice treat. They are always friendly and in a good mood. Fishing suplies. Souvineer items such as T shirts. Right now they have a route 66 T. Indoor tables, local newspapers and lots of lottery scratchers. They have cherry limeaid in their fountian drink dispencer and it is so good and cheep. I took my kids here before school wound up having chicken nuggets for breakfast with freshly breaded and fried chicken that was tender and juicy. Their sweet and sour sauce was good too.”

In April this year Sherry came to our local store and wow, what a turn around. Everything changed. Everybody here actually takes pride in their job. This store is clean, well stocked, and the staff seems happy to be there. When have you ever had a staff member come up and volunteer to help you find what you want?
