“Class act as far as I'm concerned. I had to call the ambulance and engine crew paramedics out to my home in Johnson Ranch area of San Tan Valley back in Oct 2011 in the afternoon time. I was not feeling well and the ambulance and engine crew ran a portable ekg strip to see if they could find out what the problem was. Nuts! nothing showed up wrong on the strip. I chose after talking with MY! Rural Metro Team to go ahead and take a ride to Mountain Vista Medical Center to be checked out at the ER just to make certain. I turned out I was having a Heart Attack - within 15 min after they made that determination I was rolling down the hall to the pulmonary surgery unit for the installation of 2 stints on the back interior side of my heart. GOOD JOB GUYS! - I could have died. But it doesn't end yet! I had to have a 5-vessel heart bypass (CABG) surgery back in Feb of 2009. So I knew I was a ripe candidate for more troubles. I came home only to almost have another heart attack when I got the bill. I called the Rural Metro offices and they explained that the Home owners insurance companies won't cover the responses of Rural Metro Fire and South West Ambulance unless the home owner has subscribed to their services. After the billing Dept explained - I contacted my landlord and she was shocked that thousands of costs could be accrued if there was a fire or other major incident. She checked with her Insurance and found it was true. She signed up and for a little over $350.00 a year all was covered. That was a little less than half the bill sent to me. By Back dating the contract for us all as covered and now I personally wouldn't be without a contract. The other reason I'm writing this is because twice in the last month a neighbor has had to have them respond and it has saved them a ton of money and the response is always quick and professional. I was a paid fireman for Federal and civilian fire departs in the past and I hold a lot of respect for My Guys that put their lives on the line for me and our community everyday. GOOD JOB ALL OF YOU!”

“I only put high ratings so this can be seen. I was walking down the street. With my head down, it's early ,6 and I've had a tough day the day before. And some firefighters honk their horn. It startled me and I was wondering if they did it on purpose. I thought I was overreacting but then they drove passed me and laughed at me.. how am I supposed to feel safe if my local firmen can't even respect a lady on the street? It was Unecessary. And I can't BELEIVE i was laughed at I felt bullied. Treat your neighbors like neighbors, or change your job.”

“When I was young I took a tour of a firestation and love it. Now that I have a young one who insists on pointing out every firetruck and ambulance, I thought it was a good idea. I was nervous becuase my husband said that was a looooong time ago (I don't think I'm that old) and they may not allow tours anymore. I went anyway and we were graciously welcomed in to take a short tour of the firetrucks and the ambulance! 8D My daughter loved it and while she didn't say too much while she was there, she told everyone and showed everyone her firehat and sticker when we left. I hope to tour when she's a little older too. She may have questions and participate with the gracious fireman who allowed her to look at the vehicles. Thank you so much for your time Firestation 2!”

“Firemen are some of the bravest most selfless people I know. They don't get out of the credit, or the pay that they deserve. The Oklahoma City fire department is one of the best. They save lives every day. The next time you see a fireman, give him a big thank you.”
