“I was with my husband and doing landscaping for money. On a very hot summer day. It was the 1st time there. We just knew how to get to the person home, so we didn't have the address. It was the year of 2005, so cell phones was not as great as they are now. My husband had to call 911 for your department. I was have a grandma seizure. The 911 operator talked to my husband to figure out where we was at until you arrived. When you all got there you took very good care of me, I had no idea where and what was going on with me. One of the best things you did beside taking the best care of me, was drive me to Anderson Community Hospital where I was from. So all of my family could get to see me quickly. Which is way out of your way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me in every way. Also my for helping my very scared at the time husband's for all that you did for him and me on that day. Bless you all and please be SAFE ????????⛑❤”

“I was taking a group of 29 children to an event in Orlando today. 7/9/14 The bus I was driving broke down on I-4 exit 33 . As we were looking over the problem and seeing if there was anything we could do to fix it, one of the fire chief's (I think) pulled up and asked if we needed any help. He took me to a gas station so I could purchase water then he purchased a cooler to put the water in. He did this out of his own pocket which is very rare in this day and age. When we got back to the bus one of his trucks pulled up with ice and they stayed with us till they had arranged for the mobile home park (Lakeland Harbor) across the street to allow us to stay in the club house which had A/C.. I can not say enough about how helpful everyone was and want to give them our sincere thanks for everything they did for the kids. ”

“We had our car seat inspected this evening at the Groveland Fire Department. Jeff did a fantastic job explaining and instructing us in car seat installation and safety, and gave us a few tips and tricks to keep in mind. He took almost an hour with us- from verifying our car seat and base had no known recalls to having us practice proper installation techniques. When I had emailed Monday evening to verify that they would be available for inspections during their published Tuesday night hours of 7 to 9 p.m. Chief Lay responded so quickly - I heard back from him in under an hour! He also came out to greet us this evening , which was very nice. I would highly recommend getting your car seat inspected here.”
