“I was surprised that the funeral parlor and the parking lot allows for a large amount of people. For a small town that's unexpected! Very courteous and well mannered owners who are considerate of those attending. We had one of the owners rush out with an umbrella for my family since it was starting to drizzle and they saw we weren't carrying an umbrella. They had a screen where pictures could be cycled through on a slideshow. Handicap accessible and well kept.”

“Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home went above and beyond to make a very difficult time easy. They work endless hours, all times of the day or night, including weekends to provide your family with a level of service and compassion like no other. A new feature of their services included a memorial book being presented to the family at the end of funeral. This book is absolutely amazing. It captures every component of the service arrangements from pallbearers, to dates, to memorial pictures, to the obituary, to attendees, to pictures of the floral arrangements and cards received with the floral arrangements. We took the book with us that evening following the service and passed the book around for all to see. It was fun to learn who was all in attendance, and who from the family spoke with each of the attendees. The book was also extremely helpful in sending out thank you cards - especially for the floral arrangements, as many left the service going to various family member's homes. Without this book, we could have easily missed acknowledging the sender with a thank you card. Ron and Marla - thank you for going above and beyond for our family and providing us with the most beautiful service one could have.”

“It's been a couple of years now but feel it's still important to share this. My beloved Springer Spaniel (Camry) unexpectedly passed away. I had her cremated there and within a couple of days was notified that she was ready to be picked up. Her remains were in a nice oak box with a name plate with her name & dob & did engraved on it, there also was a bookmark with her name, a poem & small swatch of her hair. As you would expect I was upset when I took her there, i was treated compassionately and professionally. I couldn't have ask for more during this difficult time. What prompted me to write this now is a dear friend of mine is facing the same thing & I strongly recommend Shirley Stout to them. “Robert and his staff at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home did an exceptional job with my grandmother’s funeral this past weekend. After visiting three other funeral homes, we were sold on the professionalism of Robert’s and his willingness to provide us with the most honorable and respectful service. Facilities: Although we did not have a viewing at the funeral home, I would highly suggest that you consider Evergreen as one of your top choices when considering funeral pre-planning. Once you enter into the clean and modern facility, you will be in awe at the attention to detail that the facility has. There are no stairs and there is plenty of parking. A picture of Robert’s late father adorns the foyer. Respect towards family is evident from the first moment you enter Evergreen. Shop around and you will see what I mean with the quality of the facilities. Staff: Robert and his staff are all highly professional in the manner in which they prepared our grandmother, all the way through the ceremony at the cemetery. Robert does the embalming for the facility, for which he did an excellent job. Communication: Every time we tried to meet with Robert to finalize the details of the funeral, he was readily available at OUR leisure. I think this is a very important trait as a funeral home, as we were out running errands in preparation for the burial and did not think to make appointments. In short, whenever we were ready, he was ready. Robert was in contact with our parish priest and was early in arriving to the church for the funeral ceremony. Cost: Even though the facility is barely 5 years old, the final cost of the services rendered by Evergreen were extremely competitive with the three other funeral homes that we visited. Overall: Robert did everything in his power to ensure that our grandmother was given a respectful and honorable funeral. We thank Robert and wish him continued success.”
