“I’ve had 2 outdoor projects this summer and both times I chose Smithville Home Hardware and in between I’ve shopped in the store. Every visit has been exactly the way I like being treated. The staff make me feel like a valued customer. My most recent project is the largest in a while and with the help of of the Contractors Desk (I’m by no means a contractor) I got all the supplies I needed. The desk is headed up by Manager Roger and on this project I had the pleasure of dealing directly with (captain) Kirk. Kirk is a professional who knows how to interact with customers in a manner that makes the customer feel comfortable, no matter how goofy my questions were. While walking through the drive-through lumber area I met Dave who rattled off the top of his head my order perfectly. The order was dropped of this morning and was exactly what was ordered. I look forward to the next time I have to head into their store, it will feel like a visit. Thanks folks.”

I walked in and was offered incredible service and so much hospitality. I have been meaning to look at furniture but have put it off because I have never had a positive experience with the big name furniture stores in the past however simply because of how much respect and care I was provided I bought a whole furniture set and that accent piece I wanted. Not only that, I got it delivered the SAME day and the day after too. When you think of a family business, one who truly cares about its clients, you should think of this place. “Cool, small thrift/upcycling store for creative supplies, especially fabrics and yarn! Wish they were open other days of the week than just Saturday 1 to 4 pm, the in-store shopping hours are probably the only down side because with craft supplies especially thrifted items I prefer to see them in person versus ordering online because there are no refunds. I like to see the product quality before buying. Plus it is good to buy fabrics in person versus online because you can also feel thread count and thickness of the fabrics and there is no screen difference of coloration of fabrics or yarns because you can see it in person. But sadly, this is the way of the world as brick and mortar stores aren't the main way people get things as they like the convenience of ordering online, which honestly I don't like for everything. There are just some things a person needs to shop in person for. There's just something magical about going into a shop versus clicking and getting it online.”

“Would rate five stars but I hate the remodeled stores. That's more of a reflection on corporate than on the individual stores themselves. I'm really upset that they discontinued most things like shoes and apparel in the remodels have less seasonal products in my opinion. I definitely have beef with corporate about this so the four stars is not a reflection on the individual store but I refuse to rate any remodel a five star. If it's any consolation before the remodel I gave it five stars for this particular store”

Greeted at the door by the owner, Ann, I was welcomed into a transformed atmosphere of fantasy combined colors and goods and wind from old fans and light that were so unusual but worked. A mix of new and old. A mix of color and light. If you are feeling a little down, visit the Vintage Barn! I swear you are transformed when you enter the door! There should be an entrance fee 🥰. There is every item from 1950 kitchenware to 1980 clothing to lace lounge wear! Lots of cowboy boots line the walls. Small furniture, clothing, purses, broaches, and cards! I can’t wait to return. My 16 year old son loves it too. He visited after a week of camp and purchased a carpenters belt to use with his leatherwork at camp. I really enjoy looking at her transformed items like a skirt turned into a lamp shade. What a unique store and unique owner. Love love love it!! She doesn’t price her items. The price is based on the item and the amount of items purchased. Go! Buy a lot!”
