Unfortunately, Buddy Lee just recently passed away. So, the art world has truly lost a legend. Anyway, the owner of the shop was familiar with his work and was fiddling with it. He said, “did you know that someone soldered the mask so it doesn’t open?” Long story short…left the piece there and he fixed it. Now I can open the mask and it reveals a face carved in turquoise…just beautiful!! How cool is that?? Buddy Lee’s pieces are always unique. What a great job they did. Love the store and their staff!”
