It has a designated section for children to play with a variety of toys among the children's books which makes selecting books while keeping an eye on little ones easy. They also have another area with tables with a variety of manipulatives such as legos and games for older children.”

“This is the best Greensboro branch in my opinion. Great selection of children's books and movies. All the branches have a section for children's books but this one has a nook so to speak. The library has summer reading programs for both adults and children. My child does the summer one and has earned prizes yearly. Has about 25 computers to use for any purpose (has internet and most work type software). First come first serve. This location seems to have the most friendly and helpful staff. In Price Park but with plenty of parking. Never crowded and just seems quieter and more laid back than the other branches. I tend to avoid the Benjamin and Central locations (among others) but the great thing is the entire "system" lets you return to any location regardless of where you checked out. Convenient if you are all over the place. Greensboro does a great job with several things and their libraries are one of these.”

“Nice and quiet! Pros: This is one of my favorite campuses. It is nice and quiet. There are benches that line the sidewalks with shade. Plenty of parking space is available, and all of the important departments are located directly up front. This particular campus library is a favorite, because they offer a lot of modern library material. Plus, the study rooms don't have a two person minimum requirement for use. Definitely a bonus! This peaceful campus will surely keep you focused. Cons: The staff could be a little more friendlier. I will not get into details, but it is the only reason why I didn't give a 5 star rating. Overall, a really nice campus. ”

“I went for book babies which was awesome. Nice parents and the staffer that led it was excellent. It is a smaller community library so if you are expecting reading rooms, kids cordoned off in a clean room, multiple floors, or a library where you need complete silence this is not for you. It's a terrific community library with friendly staff, neighborhood people, wonderful kids, babies and moms, a very decent selection of books. Thank you Holgate Library.”

“Anyone that know me knows that I frequent libraries often. With a few books in the car to return and in the Kempsville area I thought why not. This was my first time stepping foot inside. From the outside the building appears newer than it really is. Built in the late 60's the design seems more fresh than dated on the exterior. Maybe it has been added on to. There is plenty of parking on the side of the building. I found the lot and walk up tidy on a Friday mid morning. I dropped the books off in front at their newer automated service. It worked great! I decided to take a look around too! Restrooms and checkout are in front. They have the following sections. kids, teens, computer room, children programming room, group study room and a quiet area. I found the library neat and organized. I did not have any staff interaction. I would come back to this branch and would encourage others to do the same.”
