“Lots of fun activities for the kids to enjoy and many incentive programs to get the kids excited about reading. Jessica the head librarian is amazing and always very helpful. The staff is always friendly and I also like that you can order any book and have it shipped for free. It's also nice that it's next to the playground.”

“I went to donate books to the Pamunkey Jail and discovered a sweet little library located in what looks like a house. Inside is an open area with the check out desk some computers and other things. Each of the rooms are dedicated to reading sections and the kids room. Don't let the classic small look fool you, this library has modern devices even for kids. You can rent a tablet preloaded with book and other educational activities. Or an GPS sized device with read-aloud books and movies. I'm very impressed with this hidden gem!”

“The library staff is always very courteous to us, and we have used the community room several times for birthday parties for our daughter. She also loves story time on Wednesday mornings. The library is always clean and tidy too.”

“:-) Very friendly staff and volunteers; they will go out of their way to help you! :-) Good selection of material housed within premises. :-) Staff quickly communicates that requested items have arrived for pickup! :-) Staff/volunteers appears to work very hard to raise money and work within their budget to purchase innovative (small musical instruments) and popular books/DVDs/CDs! The glaring downside of this branch is 1) too small an area in general, with no secluded place for study, 2) too few computers (five) for public use, 3) limited, very uncomfortable furniture and 4) extremely noisey, "coffee klatch" atmosphere. (Cell phones are not muted, there are loud parent/child or teacher/children interactions frequently and general conversations drones on endlessly between patrons and others. There is no such thing as speaking in whispers.) If you are visiting this branch to study or do anything requiring concentration, bring a really good set of earphones/ear buds with you. I might add that it is not an exceptionally handicap - friendly building(especially in regard to location of bathroom.) Overall, they do the best they can with what they've got.”

“For my living situation, this works for my studying right now with a personal work desk and a power outlet for my laptop. I would really prefer a better living situation, but society doesn't reward hard working skilled professionals all that well anymore. It does get pretty loud in there with kids, so I usually just have my headphones and get in the zone. Also, why does the library have such descrimination against working people hours? I mean if you work a 9-5, forget about the weekdays and the weekend hours are restricted? All in all, it's kinda ghetto and old, feels like my old public school with writing on the desk and such haha. Guess that's kinda nostalgic.”

“This is one of my favorite libraries to visit at anytime of day. There is plenty of comfortable seating and tables for extra spaces. I bring my son to the children’s area often. He likes sitting at the theatre seats and reading aloud. Yes! He can read aloud here and not disturb the rest of the library. They even have toys and puppets suitable for the little ones.”

“This is the most beautiful library I have ever stepped foot in in the valley of the sun. Newly renovated. Helpful staff and an amazing selection of books. Study rooms are on a reservation basis by students only but offers a quieter space for hours of concentration. This library does offer computers for public use, and a plethora of computers for student use.”

“I come here often with my twin toddlers and have always had a wonderful experience with helpful staff. We’ve even come in the past with an early intervention therapist to work on social, speech & OT goals (and more recently with our aba therapist) and were welcomed. I did see another review where a visitor was upset with treatment for I’m assuming their special needs kid/client (?) but I’m wondering if it was an isolated occurrence /staff member bc my special needs kiddo has always received kind and happy helpers at the Marple library”
