“A nice, small, warm and welcoming, folksy, functional, clean rest area. Has a lovely rose garden mixed in with azaleas. There are plenty of tall shady trees scattered in a hilly terrain with winding driveway. It’s perfect to park in a quiet shady spot to have a quick snooze (which is exactly what I did) . The hilly terrain offered good sound barrier from the highway or truck parking area. This is a great if you are traveling with a nervous or skittish dog not used to loud noises or just want to catch a few quick zzz’s. It’s exactly just what I was looking for. “Today my dog got out and was lost for 2-3 hours. He is a 12 year old Pitt bull, which normally gets a bad reputation so normally the police or animal control aren’t to helpful with the breed. But today 2 officers who I didn’t catch the name of although I wish I had, helped me find my dog! I had waved them down because I was desperate at this point and hoped maybe they had seen him, they took down all my information and told me they would radio it out to the others and animal control and would bring him back home if they found him. Literally 5 mins later they found him and called me, helped my husband and I catch him to bring him home! They took time out of they’re day for something they didn’t have to help with! They gave me my faith back into some police officers and I couldn’t be more appreciative of they’re help! They know who they are and I hope they see this and understand what a BIG help they really were and how they saved the day today for my hole family! Thank you Payne springs police department for your help!”

“Sunday afternoon we found a notice informing us our road would be closed Monday and Tuesday for surface maintenance on the road. The clincher, with less than a 24 hours notice, I had a medical appointment and we had a contractor scheduled for finish work. Also, instructions were to park on a side street. Our side street would have been Plain City-Georgesville Road. At noon on Monday there were no crews working on the road. To get to the point I contacted the County Engineers office. My thanks to Mr Hutson for quickly looking into the issue and returning my call with an update and time frame for the work. We appreciate his efforts.”
