“Clint and Shane called in advance and gave their time of arrival almost to the minute. They both introduced themselves and without delay they started the property border survey. They identified markers placed back in the 50's and confirmed their measurements were accurate. And we talking to the hundredths of an inch. (Line of Sight measurements I do believe are to the thousandths) When it was discovered 3 rear yard markers had been removed they both worked to line up new markers so we could have a complete 4 point property border survey completed. It wasn't a surprise to find back yard markers missing. They documented the primary building dimensions and location as well as our accessory buildings. They also documented our driveway, walkways and parking slabs. That were very professional and didn't take long to complete our 3 lots. We want to thank Mindy for working with us via email and offering more patience than I would have ever expected. Every question answer and setting the date was easy. “Went for a name change. There are no walk-ins on Saturdays FYI (learned the hard way unfortunately). But I went back on a Thursday, got there at 7:15am to wait. At first everyone (walk-ins and appointments) waited on line but when they open the doors at 8 they split us all into two lines—appointments on one, walk-ins the other. The woman let anyone with an appointment between 8-9 in first and then let walk-ins in after. I was first in line for the walk-ins so I was out by 8:35. Everyone I dealt with was very nice! Overall positive experience but wish they made it more clear there are no walk-ins on Saturdays.”

“I don't believe the current reviews reflect the reality of SoS, specifically in this location. The staff is nice and easy to talk to. Yes the line might be long from time to time, however that should be expected and not penalized. Let's be real, the variability is great in places like this. And you are treated the way you treat them in my experience. Be kind and patient and they will appreciate you and help you out. It is not the most exciting job, but the staff is doing their job competently and as expediently as possible. We are all human afterall. If you do not want to wait in line (either via ticket or text), you can also opt for online appointment, which needs to be scheduled two weeks in advance, which is convenient. If you can't plan ahead (either because you have an emergency or simply because you didn't think about it), then make sure you sign up via text as soon as it opens (8:30am on weekdays, but check the time). Seconds matter when signing up online. Well pray that the system will work well that day. It is not the most reliable online system, but it has worked well about 80% of the time I have used it. If there are too many people, it might overload and crash. In that case wait for following day. Avoid super centers if you can on weekends if at all possible. Otherwise, the place is clean, staff amiable (unless they had a long week/day) and the line system works. For those snowy/freezing cold temps, make sure you check online or on Twitter or give SoS a call to ensure that they are open that day. I know they were closed when it hit record lows at end of Jan 2019. Normally if public schools are closed, they will be closed. Everyone please follow common sense, be patient and kind to staff and people around you. Have the right expectations going in and do your part as a good citizen. Cheers.”
