“The House of Seven Gables is not only a fun place to visit, it is representative of a true historical gem. It’s very architecture speaks of literary, biographical, and cultural values that inform the early history of colonial America and the special role Salem plays its Puritan and literary origins. The staff is welcoming, they are skilled guides, and they genuinely know their history. This is one of the great destinations in New England, and the subtle significance of its story is enthralling.”

“Really good kids museum, lots of trains and some hands-on things to do. It is nice that they have train layouts with different scales, however, not everything was running when we went. Also, for an adult train fan, the layouts are not really that interesting aside from one or two; operationally they are quite simple. But again, this is not a problem at all for kids!”
