“Museum is good on local F county fire history. Be sure to visit and support the National Fire Heritage Center which shares this space. Call for hours. Emmitsurg is known as FIRETOWN USA and really lives up to its reputation! If you visit Gettysburg, drive south 13 miles on Rt 15 and spend some time in Firetown! No visit should be complete without visiting The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial on the National Fire Academy campus. Truly. FIRETOWN USA!!!”

“You must visit this place. They have a lot of items to view. More historical military items are always being added. The curators are very friendly and helpful. They are currently open from 11am to 1pm on Saturdays. They do not charge but a donation would be very nice. I really enjoyed this hidden gem in MOHNTON PA.”

“Of all the airports that I have ever known, the Santa Paula Airport is by far the best. The Aviation Museum here, like the airport, is a small but wonderfully well kept secret. If you have any love for flying, you will love this place.”

“My wife and I went on the Herr's Snack Factory tour and our guide "Baily" was very nice and very knowledgeable about the operations of the factory and how everything was made. We saw several different areas where they were making potato chips, tortilla chips, and pretzels. We saw how they added the different spices and flavors and watched as the machines automatically moved the the products from one place to another, weighed them and then bagged and boxed them. It was all very interesting, and at the end, we got to sample hot potato chips right off the line and they were delicious! I highly recommend this tour!”

“AMAZING.... the classic cars were breathtaking. The car that stood out for me the most was the 1973 Mach I that I owned when I was 24 years old, the exact same car, same color...everything. (I'm 69 now). Wow, the memories it brought back. A private retirement party was held at the Vehicle Vault for my brother that collects vintage cars himself; this was the PERFECT setting. Rather than 2-300 people crammed into a restaurant for a sit down dinner, making small chatter with those around you, everyone at the Vehicle Vault was walking around (over and over again) looking at the amazing collection of cars. The retirement event was catered, the food was excellent!!! Of course, no touching or food around the spectacular car collection.”

“Small, but VERY NICE. Owner and guide Andy Parks guides visitors through the history of the Lafayette Escadrille, many of whom his family was privileged to know personally. Andy is well-informed about the history of the the Escadrille. You will need to call first and make sure the museum will be open as it is a working museum where restoration is ongoing. If you are interested in aviation history, you won't be disappointed.”

“Wow. What a cool place. No, it’s not the oldest house you can tour, and no, it’s not the biggest, either. However, it’s one of my favorite houses we’ve toured simply because of the level of preservation and the experience. The details are incredible and if you take a guided tour, you’ll be sure to learn about all of the details (it’s worth it). The coolest part about this house is that while it’s massive still, it feels livable. You could actually imagine a family occupying this home. Also, definitely go explore the grounds. There are some little hidden gems.”

“A great place to take the kids to teach them some local history! This place is a little slice of awesome. We went on a free museum day and my 8 and 10 year old loved it. They have a little scavenger hunt and we were able to discuss the things that the kids saw. It will not take you long to get through and with little kids, that is a good thing. It is not a big date night thing, but if you take the kids to the library, they can see the train and the museum and have a nice little morning or afternoon of simple fun activities.”
