“The building is good, it has an auditorium, classrooms, and some nice spaces but is a little outdated. The auditorium is nice but doesn't have the best acoustics for singing. Could be a really great facility with just a few renovations/updates.”

“Who knows what up with this place but I'm sure they're passing off the neighborhood with the awesome yellow paint (probably the only thing that's not brick in all of beacon Hill. This cool house has awesome cat gargoyles, a beautiful sunflower relief and harkens back to the day when there were single family homes in Beacon Hill. I'd love to know more about it!”

“This is a wonderful museum to bring students as part of their Civil War unit at school. The instructors are very knowledgeable and the program they created for the kids is very good. The 360 degree theater was amazing! I also love going to the gift shop for the unique items they get from WI crafters and businesses.”

“We stopped at this museum as part of spending the day at Harpers Ferry...and I have to say it was one of the more thought provoking things we have done in awhile. How does one protest something you believe so strongly? The displays are a little dated (for $7, it’s still a great deal)...but the topic seems particularly relevant to today. Highly recommend a stop if you’re in town. You could probably spend plenty of time, but the 30-minute walk through was well worth it.”

“If you want to find out the history of education progress in the USA then you must visit this small museum. The exhibit is very informative about the foundation of the college that provided education regardless of race or sex. Unfortunately its demise resulted from another advance in education: Brown v Board of Eduction. Additionally at this museum is a short history of the Niagara Movement with some terrific photographs. Included is also info about the founding of the NAACP.”

“This place is close to perfect! I have only a few small criticisms. First, its impossible to find the ratchet you need when you need it. I'm pretty sure there are bridge gnomes which live under the fire truck and come out from time to time to move tools around. Second, there are dusty cases of coors light which look like they came back from a mars exploration. Other than that, and the slow wifi, management does a great job! highly recommended.”

“This B&B sets the bar high for others to try and follow. Upon entering and traveling down the tree lined drive way you come face to face with history. This birth place of James Madison is inspiring and comforting all in one. Michelle and Brett are simply amazing, taking you into history and making you feel right at home. Not only can you spend hours touring and reading about this fantastic location. But you can enjoy tea, breakfast and an amazing dinner. Located along the Rappahannock river makes it a perfect venue for relaxation and weddings. This is a must visit location and encourage all to spend some time with Michelle and Brett, you will not regret it. We will be back soon and often.”
