“Very nice park. I didn't go on trails but there were pathways abound around a golf course. Multiple playgrounds for the kids. Foliage wasn't great this year but the same could be said everywhere given the recent drought plenty of opportunities for photos.”

“What a wonder this building was able to be rehabilitated by Ray and the City of New Albany. My hats off to Ray for taking on such a challenge. It's great to see things in New Albany going in a positive way. The art done by Mr. Kleinhelter is amazing and everyone should stop and check out his next exhibit.”

“Very nice museum to go to. The massive train model I believe is the biggest at least in New York state. They have a scavenger hunt to find certain things on the models and within the room. Most of my pictures are of just the trains but along the sides of the room is tons of memorabilia from fireman items to old oil lamps. You could spend hours looking and find something new. When I was there we took the train for a ride. It goes over a gorgeous bridge over the Erie canal. All the staff were very polite and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going there for a visit. I didn't post the train that you ride on so you will have to find out for yourself 🙂”

“Especially for such a small town, this museum is absolutely excellent. Tiny price of entry and extremely rich history on display. They have all kinds of incredible displays, from uniforms donated by remarkable individuals themselves to massive aircraft with great historical and technical value. The staff themselves are excellent people as well, all with their own great personal stories too. Ask for details about anything and you will not be disappointed!”

“Fun, ~1hr tour that includes male and female prisoner quarters, death row + solitary confinement, (graphic) images from an actual hanging, the sheriff's living quarters, and the deputies sleeping area. Overall I'd say we'll worth the money, the tour guides are prisoners and all are in character during the tour. Highly recommend!”

“A cute little museum. The last was extremely knowledgeable about the history and future plans of the railway. They hope to extend the railway in the next few years to bring it back to it's former glory and I hope they do. Salamanca is such a cute town and should definitely be a tourist spot.”

“i was a bit underwhelmed as one area of the museum was closed off for a future addition. we were luckily able to visit for free because it was a sunday afternoon as a walk up. the other rooms did have some interesting exhibits but it really did feel small but looked huge from the outside. i felt like the gift shop was a little too big in size as well. the highlight has to be the sculpture garden which also had some empty spaces for some more pieces. i would like to visit again in the future but i'll wait a few years before that next time.”

“We enjoyed a wonderful, informative tour and were able to ask a lot of questions. Our guide Meghan was knowledgeable, friendly, and authoritative. We toured in June, so the gardens outside were just lovely. Lots of great information about the owners, but also about the workers who kept Cherry Hill running. Highly recommended.”

“We noticed some huge sheet metal sculptures from the highway, and decided to check it out. There is a $10 fee to enter the sculpture garden, but in exchange you get a small artwork to take with you, or a credit toward the purchase of a larger piece. There are works by seven different artists displayed. I was amazed, and glad we stopped by. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the prices are not posted, although it was interesting talking with the gentleman there about the artworks while getting the price information.”

“This should be called Historic Jail of Caldwell County. Although it is a museum, there are many artifacts just hanging around and jail in upper floors is mostly intact like the way it was when someone was last there. Very creepy but fun to see. This jail should be used today for those that are not scared of going to jail. The caretaker said that he here’s knocks here and there. Boo!!”

“This place is really fun if your a motor head! Its a museum of old boat motors which have been restored and displayed. Many are over 100 years old! The second building has an impressive model train setup with some friendly people who love to share their passion with visitors. I would allow yourself about an hour to visit the entire place. Its free but they do accept donations.”

“The Glass House is quite an astonishing example of modern architecture sited amongst a stunning landscape. The former home of Philip Johnson who bought the land in1947 and lived there until his death in 2005. It really is a well organized tour that originates from the Elm Street museum and shuttles you to the home. Enjoyed the tour immensely and loved the ride with the guide back to the museum store pointing out other examples of modern architecture in New Canaan. The tour tickets can be organized via the website. We went on the last tour of the day which has the most beautiful afternoon lighting.”

“When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find an entire cultural center! The museum itself is great. Some absolutely gorgeous glass windows that steal the show. Other than that, there is a robust offering of historical and present cultural history. Average stay is probably about 1-2 hours. If you are one to read everything, expect 2-3.”
