“My daughter (age 10) and I arrived just after they closed last weekend and the kind volunteer (I forgot her name) opened the doors and let us wander around and pepper her with questions for a solid 45 minutes. Very interesting collection of historical items. Old chainsaws, record players, rocks, photos, dolls, and the list goes on and on. So glad we were able to spend some time there.”

“Coming from out of town, we're always looking at checking out new museums. We came here on a suggestion from a family member and we were not disappointed. We only spent a few hours, but could have easily spent the entire day. Staff was friendly and welcoming, the museum was clean, and there were so many fun exhibits! I'm glad we went, and look forward to returning in the future.”

“Run all by very friendly volunteers! It's a fun, affordable, local activity that kids under 6 will definitely enjoy because it is a slow, smooth ride. For the Christmas train it is just under a 2hr journey including a pitstop to see Santa, get some hot cocoa or apple cider, and a toy (for donations) - and get a photo op with Santa! It's a good time to use the outhouse as well. You can also buy some fun train type toys in the ticket office. They have other special events throughout the year, too.”

“A cool museum that we discovered by accident. They have tours that include animals, making fossil replicas, and a talk on fossil formation. Nice outdoor play area including a small zip line ($3 extra). Separate Creation Education Center. Would be great for smaller kids, but my 13 and 17 yo kids enjoyed it. Very friendly staff.”

“A friend recommended we visit here to see Santa and we are so glad we stopped by. We originally came to just see Santa but enjoyed looking at so many of the other opportunities they had available today. The kids loved looking through the old homes, making ornaments and learning about the history of some of the homes. My kids ages are 12- 1 year old. It was a little hard in the houses to keep the 1 year old entertained but he enjoyed the outside areas. It was so great to have guides that explained different aspect of the homes and blacksmith area. We spent a couple hours here and still didn't make it through the whole village. We will be back because my kids definitely enjoyed it. We will be back to finish our tour as well as venture into the Botanical garden.”

“This is a small historic park. It has a house, Mill, iron workshop, general shop, a large picnic area,, trails,, etc... plenty of parking. I've been here several times, and it's a great place for photography. If I remember correctly, we took pictures here for one of my photography classes. When I visited today, I spotted 2 deer... so cute! This park is also very dogfriendly.”

“It is wonderful knowing there are people who want to honor those who have gone and above the call of duty. I want to thank these men and women who stood up for a Nation that has had people who love freedom, justice, truth, and mercy, even if there were those among us who abused these virtues. I hope that no matter what comes our people remember what America stands for, and we will fight for a Nation that seeks justice, loves mercy, and walks humbly with its Creator instead of having people that take an attitude of throwing away anything that might offend their entitlement to quit.”

“Due to the pandemic, we could only hold a small, outdoor wedding - limited to 50 people. Belmont Mansion not only provided top tier health precautions, they also worked with us to ensure all guests remained safe. With signage, a gatehouse guard, and conference calls before hand, the staff of the Belmont Mansion helped us achieve a fairy tale wedding. For the price and views of the city, this is a venue everyone should use.”
Address: 1 Heart Island, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607, USA
“This was the first time to visit the area coming from the south US and going into Canada. Getting the tickets was quick but a bit complicated on which one to get. The girl at the window was good to help us out understand the differences. The boat ride was quick and smooth. The island itself was gorgeous. My family and I spent 1 hour there and it was too short. You can spend the entire day until 5 or so for the same price. The building are gorgeous and the history very interesting. I definitely recommend doing this and spend more than just one hour here.”
