“Today was a very stressful day for us. We went to the dump to drop off some stuff, and then our car got stuck. However, not only that, but it started to overheat pretty bad. The gentlemen working there not only helped us get unstuck, but they made sure our car was able to make it back to the front, and even went above and beyond to give us some coolant. They were just all-around amazing gentlemen, and we were blown away by their generosity. Customer service isn't exactly something you're looking for when going to a landfill, but they were just amazing in every aspect.”

“You get to learn about the Bertrand was launched in Wheeling, West Virginia in 1864. At 161 feet (49 m) long, with a beam of 32 feet (9.8 m); its burden total 251 tons. A shallow-draft vessel, it drew only 18 inches (46 cm) when light, and perhaps no more than twice that when loaded. Ownership of the Bertrand differ, but it probably belonged to the Montana and Idaho Transportation Line, based in St. Louis, Missouri. The firm was owned in part by John J. Roe of St. Louis. On April 1, 1865, under the command of Captain James Yore, the steamboat struck a submerged log in the Desoto Bend of the Missouri River, about 25 miles (40 km) upstream from Omaha, Nebraska. In less than ten minutes, it sank in 12 feet (3.7 m) of water. No people died, the estimated value of vessel and entire cargo was lost combined was $100,000.”

“Redesigned Public Park. Beautiful playground. Zipline is fun for older kids. Bathrooms were locked so couldn't get in there and look at them. Very nice pavilion. Great walking trails. Really nice park. Has a splash pad, but we visited in October so it was turned off.”

“Awesome place to get away from the city and the crowds and when we were here, there was only one other couple I saw with their child the entire time. The water level was about six inches from the boardwalk and a little flooded over in one tiny little section but easy to get by with some careful walking. I was hoping to see a gator or two, but didn't while I was here.”

“Awesome place! Please don’t let the fact that it’s categorized as an “art museum” mislead you. The work of very talented artists are being displayed, BUT it’s intense use of light, sound, touch, and even timing and transition of color was AMAZINGLY STIMULATING! This is a great place for kids and adults who require auditory and visual stimulation. TOTALLY MOOD EVOKING! THERAPEUTIC!”

“Hard to really rate it as it was closed at the time and so was the museum in Louisville. Check their site and book ahead as their site states but quite epic to see along with his grave. Worth seeing even if just a drive by”

“This family-owned store has been a key part of Douglasville society since it first opened in 1967. Since its first days it has evolved to be more than a simple store selling all manner of clocks and timepieces. Containing one of the largest and finest private clock collections in the world, the shop is also home to Earth’s largest functioning cuckoo clock, which stands four metres high and includes a full-scale stag’s head as part of its decorative carving. Elsewhere, its tower contains a mechanism built in London, England in 1865. But be warned, spend five minutes looking at every object in the shop’s collection and you’ll have to reserve three days just for this one attraction.”
