“Nice park with a long walking/biking trail. There are play areas for kids and also basketball court for older kids to play. There is also space for small gathering and events which is great. Highly recommend the walking trail, goes through wooded areas and small stream of water”

“Fun playground park for kids that was created with some artistic and creative flair. Fun to look at if you can't play on it. Good sized parking lot close by and not far to some shelters and BBQ stands. TIP: Read the skin irritation warnings by the water about touching the frothy foam that you might find floating on it, and be mindful of your kids.”

“Was a great place to camp! Wish we had a bear box in place. There is no running water so pack accordingly! Also apparently the fire pit closer to the bigger bathroom is historical and you're not supposed to use it.”

“Haven't been there for a few years but have to say the upgrades are fantastic. The main walking trail around the lake has gravel now. Gone are the tree roots and mud. Trees have been trimmed back making the walk very pleasant. The shelter across the lake is cleaned up and beautifully presented. Walking dogs toward the kids play ground we were ASTONISHED at the improvements. A wooden wall built up the area. Grass was beautiful. The new jungle gym is incredible. We remain disappointed the fields are locked. It used to be a nice place to let the pups off leash and run (yes, we always clean up after them).”

“Nice San Clemente park. Decent play structures for toddlers and grade school age kids. Nice covered picnic area. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean. Decent parking. Baseball field doubles as a nice big open grass area next to the park when there's not a little league game or practice going on. There's a nice walking path that goes up from the park too along a long greenbelt. The only bad thing is there's horrible cell reception here.”

“It's a small park that has a playground for children. I take my 4 year old niece there often. She loves the slide there! There is a baby swing with the regular swings. I'd recommend it for 3 years old and up, with proper supervision.”

“It is a nice park with natural beauty and a peaceful environment. It is still under development and will take sometime to get fully completed with other trails, trees and many facilities. However, this still has a very long and new cycling track which you could also use for walk.”

“From start to finish this facility did an awesome job! They really made me comfortable for my mama to be in their care. Special shout out to Brittany at the front desk. My 10 year old son was having such a hard time and she was quick on her feet to come up with something that made his little heart feel better without hesitation.”

“Just to start, anything above a 2 star is a place I'd visit. This is a nice little spot, with easy access to the river down a fairly steep inclined path. Only 2 trails, but it has 2 picnic tables with a shelter over them, which was rather unexpected for such a small place. There is a landing down at the river, and plenty of mountain Laurel that I hear is quite beautiful to see around Mother's Day. I only give it 4 stars because there's not much to do, but I'd definitely recommend visiting.”

“A small day use state park that is mostly used for launching boats. But there is a very large pier to fish off of and a pavilion that can be rented out. The pavilion is very large and could accommodate a large group. There is a rocky beach next to the pavilion. I don't believe you are allowed to swim... but it provides an excellent spot for walking along the water and taking pictures. There is a small playground close by and plenty of picnic tables located in the shade of the numerous trees. There is also a well maintained restroom close to the picnic tables. Although this is primarily a boat launch park, the playground and picnic tables will provide a nice break on a hot day. And finally, the parking area a very large to allow for many boat trailers to park in!”

“I went on the Stone House Trail. It was a well kept trail, but there are very few signs so I would recommend printing out one before you go. Also very little signal available, so another reason to have a printed map. I went to visit the house because they have the same last name as me although we are not related. It was a moderate hike.”

“This is a great park. There is ample space to run and play. There are walking paths. There are sets of swings for younger children and older children. There are multiple slides and equipment for climbing. We had a fun time!! There is a volleyball net. I also saw restrooms available as well.”

“My wife and I walk this trail several times a week. The wildlife is always a pleasant focal point to the daily trips. Keep an eye out for turtles during the warmer days, and sometimes, if you're lucky, you may see an otter! The birds, especially during this time of year are phenomenal! Now that the train trestle upgrade has been completed, the overall experience has been much better than before when crossing under the railroad tracks, which also add a fun experience to the walk if you're lucky enough to be near when a train crosses.”
