The trail starts with a climb to about 200ft and then goes up and down for about 45 minutes. There are plenty of park benches along the way.”

Schreiner's Iris Gardens

Address: 3625 Quinaby Rd NE, Salem, OR 97303, USA

Park Store

“As always Schreiner’s was amazing. We took our dog, Spike, came with us and was exhausted at the end. The flowers are in grand bloom, the peonies are seated and the clematis have just begun. If you’re looking for a place to take beautiful photos, this is it. From 7 am- 9 am you can get a special ticket for photography. Kids 12 and under are free with an adult ticket all week long. There is only one food cart this year, the food was good. But it took a while as there was only one, and lots of people. The cook was delightful, even though she was very busy. There is also a coffee food cart. There are plenty of benches in the shade and in the sun. You get a $2 discount if you purchase tickets on line.”

“Huge improvement from when I was there 3 yrs ago. This may now be my favorite place on/by the south end of the lake! Absolutely worth stopping in for the driving range, golf simulator or axe throwing. Even hanging out for a beer or 2 is nice. Very friendly place. Certainly worth a stop in for someone who hasn't been there before. Hot dogs r great too! It was brought to my attn, I didn't mention how good the cod fish fry was by my wife in my post, it was the best in the area.....not super greasy like other places. It was mostly shaded and plenty of benches to sit and rest (I needed it lol). Very beautiful and will definitely come back. Note: Pets and bikes are not allowed on the nature trail itself but it did look like there was a path for dogs. I personally love no bike trails so this was very nice.”
