“What a great time....again! Awesome lake within walking/biking distance for swimming. Clean showers and restroom facilities within a very short walk. Dollar General and and a Gas Station/Convenience store just outside the park. 15 and 30 amp hook up at site 107 with a water nozzle right there. Site specific info: 107's back is to the east. Since sites 181 and 183 are right behind you, there isn't any shade. All the sites are pretty much the same size. We use a 10X10 screen tent and 14X10 sleeping tent. We also use a sun shade that's 6X3. There is a picnic table at every site and a fire pit. Even with all our gear, there's room for a few chairs and another 14X10 tent. There's a cement pad at 107 that can find a Ram and Jetta. 181 can fit a Ram and Tahoe. We've never experienced negative folks here! Everyone is friendly and we've made friends on a few occasions. I grew up camping and this state park rivals any private park I've been to. No pool or putt-putt but I can find that at home!”

“I just moved in the area and Google keeps picking up as I live here. I never seen the park/playground. But I’m pretty sure I have. I don’t have kids so I don’t really pay attention to playgrounds or parks”

“We had the pleasure of staying overnight at the Chattahoochee Nature Center with the scouts this past weekend, and it was awesome! The kids loved it, it rained and was still enjoyable. The staff there was great, and did inform us that they also host birthday parties here. We were able to see the animals they have there which was really cool! Definitely looking forward to coming back, and having my boys birthdays here this upcoming spring. Go check them out, tell them Eric Berry your GA Realtor sent you.”

“Stayed in an RV here. Excellent sites with fire pit, fairly easy to maneuver inside the park, very friendly and excellent staff. All RV sites come with a picnic table and fire pit. Quiet, friendly park. My ONLY issue was the hot water in the showers took about 5 mins to come on and the water pressure was terrible.”

“Did a quick drive around and the driveway could use a little work as for some potholes I know there's a lot of work in a campground and upkeep but patience in time things will get there”

“Beautifully kept park. Clean grounds and pavillion area. Plenty of parking, restrooms, and lots of room for kids to run around and the playground equipment is mediocre.”

“I’ve come to this park over ten times now and every time I leave amazed. The trails take you through various ecosystems; a hardwood grove ( black walnut trail), wildflower fields (scarlet tanager) waterfalls, thick pine forests ( hemlock valley). There are levels of difficulty for all to enjoy! I’ve always parked up by Pelham road and walked down the steep gravel path before merging onto other trails, but recently I broke with tradition and tried Wiley road. What a gem! Please try it. Scarlet tanager to hemlock was my favourite section this time of year because of the bustling wildflower fields. Teeming with butterflies and bees. In winter time or after great rains I’d say swayze loop because the falls are magical. Well worth the exhaustive 2 hours. Not this time of year, though. The drought effects everything.”

“Easy access to the site. Able to drive right up. Bathrooms are pretty clean but not dividers between toilets. Water tastes a bit funny but doesn't make you sick. You can swim in the lake near by and lots of hiking trails nearby. It's not pricey and well worth it. Sites are spread out so your not on top of your neighbors.”

“Bought our RV here and extremely pleased. Service was fast and friendly. The model we purchased was cheaper here than other nearby locations and online. We had lots of questions and they were happy to help us. We brought our trailer back for some minor maintenance and they had it fixed promptly, and made sure to walk through the trailer with us afterwards as well. I would definitely recommend buying from them.”

“This is one of the few places I have visited that is on the top of my list. You can take a self guided tour of the grounds, but not before they give you their traditional clothing and coverings. Skirt and head covering for the women, and a long sleeve shirt for the men. I was wearing pants so i don't know if they make you wear those, if you're not already. The whole energy he is peaceful and the trees in the wind make the place sound like an ocean of pure bliss. You won't find that bliss though, unless you pay attention to the sounds and visuals. 12/10 would recommend. P.S I did my best on the 360 photo”

“This is Chesterfield's all encompassing park, offering a wide variety of activities that cannot be found elsewhere in the county. Most of the amenities in the park are well maintained, though the park as a whole is a little bit outdated. The Nature Center is worth checking out if you're lucky enough to be there when it's open, and the trails are well marked, suitable, and more prevalent than most systems in the county. Unfortunately, the pond on the far side of the park suffers from overfertilization and lacks very many good viewpoints along the adjacent trail.”

“What a spectacular park! There are activities for all to do here. There is a nice walk-about for a tranquil stroll around the pond. There are several basketball and tennis courts. A large playground with plenty of room for kids to run around. Several large grass areas for soccer fields. A softball field was notice with a near by concession stand.”

“Discovery Well Park is a rather large 6.60 acre park settled between neighborhoods near shopping. 🚻🚫No restrooms so plan accordingly if you don't live nearby 🐕 This park is ideal to bring your dogs to 🧺 Lots of benches and tables for picnics scattered in various areas of the park which could be perfect for a socially distanced outdoor event. 🏞 Large grassy areas 🏀 1 Basketball court Parking in the lot or on the street in abundance. You will also find 2 large playground sections mostly covered with rubber matting on the ground but there is a large section that is dedicatedto a sand pit. The playground section, has one smaller unit intended for ages 2-5 years has 2 slides and various climbing entrances. 2 swings for bigger kids and 2 infant seats. A few wavy rocks for climbing in the center of the playground area, and a larger playground. The larger playground unit is intended for children 5-12 years old. “A lovely beginner or relaxing area that is easy to reach and launch from and is also near walking trails, a playground, and food! We saw a ton of egrets, herons, flowers, and even a beaver dam!! Highly recommend if you're looking for something relaxing or a place to get back on the water after 4+ years. :) We can't wait to do the Haw Mill Race (South of the spillway). Really looking forward to returning! Out and back paddling.”

“For Parents: there is a very small playground here with a few slides. Overall this is a fine park, but the playground is tiny and not well-maintained. There is a pavilion, volleyball court, 2 horse shoe courts, bathrooms, outdoor showers, boat launch and grills. The entire area is fenced in.”

“I went at the perfect time in Spring 2023! I was a littler nervous because I've never been here before. But as soon as I parked at my campsite, my face just lit up! I was so happy. The 2 nights/1 day I spent there was epically beautiful! The wind was cool, the sun warm, perfect balance of temperature! I also went exploring the campground and had a great time with my dogs!”
