“My wife and I always enjoy our visits. It’s a peaceful walk through nature in Tamarac. It’s not a long trail. It’s a paved trail. A ramp halfway through takes you on a decking that would make it easy for strollers and wheelchairs. There are a few benches for sitting along the trail. We always take our time and appreciate wild life around us. We always observe plenty of bird types, squirrels, butterflies, and etc. They have a few displays with what kind of wildlife is in the area. They state grey fox’s and owls are in the area.”

“TRAILS, GROUP, RAFTING, CAMPING. Our group camped out for 3 days locally. We walked the trails by Knights Bridge, up and down the river. Spent a day rafting on the river, and exploring the local town. The rafting staff was nice and helpful; great for family, kids, and Casual river adventures. Loved the attractions in Knights Ferry (the local town) the Knights Ferry Creamery & Sweets and Spoons (burger joint) in the back of the Knights Ferry General Store was awesome.”

“I decided to check this place out despite it always been closed. I didn't see any no trespassing signs, but there is no parking. It's a very nice trail that follows big Walnut Creek. We saw a bald eagle, beavers, and other wildlife. It's a pretty cool hidden gem.”

“This is a small park located near an elementary school. It is a very cute park with a baseball motif. The park is surrounded by a tall fence, allowing even little children to play safely. Also, the park is very clean and well maintained. I would like to use this park again.”

“What a gem of a find! You are welcomed upon check in with very friendly and helpful staff. The camp store is filled with many items to peruse while also stocking all the necessities (firewood, ice, snacks, etc) "Find Your Happy" is the theme of the apparel and many signs. This is an accurate theme. The sites are all large and long with plenty of space between your neighbors. Can accommodate big rigs and multiple slide outs. The hooks ups are convenient in proportion to your site. The campground is kept very well maintained and clean. New owners in Sept 2021 and very impressed with the updates thus far. Activities for all are available on the weekends. The staff goes out of their way to assist with any questions or requests. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned the following weekend. We have stayed in many campgrounds big and small over the years and Happy Acres definitely provides a peaceful environment for you to "Find Your Happy"”

“New playground, great ball fields. Covered pavilion with picnic tables. You cannot venture into grassy areas due to excess stickers. If not for the stickers I would give it a 5 star rating.”

“Too bad Boise Parks and Rec didn't check the quality of the volleyball sand before they signed off on it. It's full of dust and nearly unplayable. Everything else about this park is pure heaven. Mature trees, grassy fields, basketball courts, tennis and pickle ball court. Picnic structure is shady and huge to accommodate multiple medium sized groups or a larger community event. Playground is modern and new with rubber safety ground cover.”

“Very good campground, it has everything you need: lots of room for RVs and the forested area is perfect for tents. The restrooms are always clean, they have a BBQ area for groups, and also a game room with video games, pool table and many board games. We had a car accident on the way there and the owners helped us tremendously by giving us free firewood and charging us only for 1 night instead of 3. Friendliest owners of a campground I have ever seen!”
