“The secret garden is by the side of the Ca Zan, and it is the buried place, surrounded by nature, of Mabel and John Ringling and the sister of Mable. There are is a gorgeous small forest of grown bamboo, with the amazing sounds of their canopy clapping together. Very serene”

“Such a sacred place and simply magical. Do yourself a favor and look up the history here before exploring. The trailhead parking is actually before where this lists it so keep that in mind. A great place to visit if you appreciate sacred places and wonderful geological formations. So, glad this area was preserved for the local tribe.”

“Nice park, well maintained. Like other reviews said, the splash pad is slippery! One of my twins fell and cried for a few minutes, not to bad. Recommend water shoes! Bakery ball courts and fields are huge and covered playing area. Bathrooms and Ramadan right near splash pad”

“Actually a really nice little park. It has a well paved path that circles the whole park. Tons of open grassy space, a bunch of trees and shade, plenty of benches, logs, and boulders all over for seating. A couple of play areas for young (Over 5 years) and very young kids (2-5 years). There is even a small volleyball court. Tiny green oasis in the concrete jungle.”

“Not one of the best state parks in the state, but certainly not the worst. The modern feel of the park is a very interesting and well executed take on the style of parks we know and love. The inclusion of both English and Native American history on the land is highly appreciated and a nice touch. The Timberneck House could use a little love and the trails are a bit lacking, but all in all a solid 9/10 park.”

“My family and I had an amazing time visiting the property for a tour and lunch over looking the avocado fields. The property was beautiful, from the creek our kids played in to the hills covered in avocado trees. We were served fresh juice, an amazing shrimp and bacon salad, skirt steak and of course chips with guacamole for lunch. The star of the trip, however, was our tour guide Lucy, the dog. She ran along side our Atv and played in the creek with our kids. Great experience and looking forward to coming back!”

“This was such a great find! Had lots of fun here, and they have bathrooms. There are tennis courts, a basketball court, plenty of bench tables, both covered and not, a playground, and a great view of the ocean. There's some paths to walk on but i didn't explore over there.”

“I have come here once as a child and it was super fun! I rented a cabin for my friend and I’s birthday celebration. Defiantly more of a family place but that didn’t stop us from having fun. All the people are super friendly, shop is cute and super cool activates! Only reason I docked a star is because we wanted to use the pond to swim and they had all of their stuff removed… would have liked to enjoy that, it was one of the main reasons we chose this place. It was a solid 80 degrees but other than that we loved renting the cabin it was perfect for the 4 adults!”

“It’s ok just a pierna lot of people come to fish here it’s quite but there’s always a few they come here to make more noise than they should. But overall a fun place to come relax. I use to come a lot when I was a kid and there use to be a restaurant no more though. It does hace access to a nice bike path as wells I’ll probably bring my bike next time”

“A very nice & peaceful nature preserve spot. You can go fishing, Rock hunting, take long walks/runs. The best time to visit this preserve is in the summer when all the wildflowers bloom”

“A hidden gem, but a gem in the rough. There's a children's play area, mowed grass, and three paths in. That's it. There are no amenities. There's no porta-potty, no parking lot, no extensive trail system, no water fountain, I couldn't even find a sign containing the name of the park. It does border back yards, so there's little chance of children running out into the streets. The surrounding streets are a low traffic neighborhood. It is a pleasant park, and enjoyable to be in.”

“Amazing park for all seasons! There is a hill for sledding that’s always been great! There are many paths and things to do like basketball and pickle ball. The skate park is however very bumpy and not great for beginners but it is a fine addition nonetheless. Also there are public bathrooms which are very convenient and clean.”

“We went camping during Memorial Day weekend. We had an absolutely wonderful time! We camped at the equine campground, it was a delight to be surrounded by horses. We went to the nature center and saw all the cool animals they’re rehabilitating. Then we went to the lodge, got some coffee, then watched the animal encounter where we learned about some of their education animals! The kids had a wonderful time! After that we went to the beach. We had fun at the beach as well, but they hadn’t cleaned up the sticks and debris off the beach yet so that was a bit bothersome. We had assumed they would’ve had that cleaned up with it being Memorial Day weekend. But it didn’t stop us from having a good time in the sun and sand! I’m sure we’ll be back!”

“Nice park here with a good size walking trail. The walking trail is paved. It's just a large rectangle, which I suppose makes it ideal for soccer games. There is a playground but I didn't see any portable restrooms as with other parks. The grass is getting there but it's still full of weeds and stickers. It's probably as good as it gets in El Paso.”

“Beautiful and peaceful place to just De stress and have an amazing time. Such stunning scenery and the staff is so friendly. We stayed in the cabin here and it was a great time. Very private and clean but only complaint was that the heat wasn't on before we came so we had winter coats on for hours until it warmed up there as the heaters are floor heating without the blowing. But I suppose we should be happy to have heat when camping. There was a microwave but bring everything else including bedding and cookware etc. There is a double bed in one bedroom and futon and bunk bed in the second bedroom. Kitchen area had two couches and a table and few end tables around. Bon fire pit outside and access to nice and clean bathrooms and a shower in the visitor center not far away. Bring a flashlight because at night it's pitch black! 😁will definitely return”
