“I found this place by pure luck & I could not be happier that I did! The one mile loop is a great trail, not too intense & the scenery is beautiful. I also loved the fact that they have an information cabin and educational wildlife including bats, a gator, owls & several other creatures! This is the perfect place to take your kiddos or just to simply feel like a kid again. I enjoyed talking with the staff they are all super sweet, full of knowledge and make you feel right at home. Thank you ladies for a wonderful day! I can’t wait for my next visit.”

“We had an amazing two week stay at the campground. The staff were incredibly friendly. All the facilities were incredibly clean and the entire grounds were well maintained. With the gated entry and the ranger always nearby we felt incredibly safe at all hours of the night The camp hosts were always around and eager to help. They provided recommendations on restaurants, nearby activities and other state parks to visit. I found their firewood to be a better deal than that from stores in town. The wildlife was plentiful and very accustomed to people. Often I would enjoy my morning coffee with a whole herd of deer about 25 feet from my window.”

“There was no concert the day I attended, but workers were setting up for a concert the next day. Even with people sitting in the benches the workers didn't get in the way of the people and the people didn't get in the way of the workers. Seperate bathrooms for men and women but they get pretty dirty towards the end of the day. The brick wall around the trees and decor was designed in an angle so people couldn't sit down or even really lean against them. That was kind of weird and rude. I assume it is anti homeless architecture.”

“Great park! So much to do. There are several large fields for softball, baseball and soccer. Several basketball and tennis courts. There is a huge play structure/jungle gym with multiple slides, climbing structures, swings and other activities. Lots of benches and picnic tables for parents to watch children play. Gender specific and family bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Dogs are allowed but must be leased. Doggie waste disposal bags are available. Several water fountains with water bottle fillers. Covered picnic area is first come first served. Lots of swings including toddler, handicapped and regular swings. There is a stationary bike and elliptical machine for parents to use while the kids play. This park gets very crowded during peak hours. Lots of parking but only 3 handicapped spaces which are frequently in use.”

“Absolutely love the Graceful bamboo I purchased from Amy & Claudia. It's high quality, well cared for and I can't believe how much it's grown in just 3 weeks! They were very patient and met with me several times answering my many questions and helping me to pick the right bamboo for my privacy fence. I choose the 15 gallon size to quickly fill in my neighbor's view of my patio. It's already provided some privacy and I can't wait till next year when it fills in! Plenty of water is the key!”

“Moderate trail up and down this short trail. The GPS showed us off the trail when we were on and then on the trail when we were on the side of the road. Could be signal. But definitely became frustrating when it almost had us go onto private property. Good thing we paid attention.”

“Only losing a star for lack of parking and lack of shade on upper fields. But other than that- we LOVE this park. Good officials, plenty of shade on lower fields, nice sidewalks. Opening upper concessions would be REALLY helpful when staffing allows.”

“Very nice park lots of trees and shade. It’s a neighborhood park so there isn’t any water fountains or bathrooms. The design is very unique, set us for intermediate to advanced climbers. They have a smaller playground for kids who can’t climb as well though.”

“Jaycee Park is a great place to go and relax for a little while. It's always so well maintained and clean when you go there. You could have a picnic, read a book under a tree, go on the playground or have a nice walk along the river. This is one of my favorite parks to photograph at for family portraits, senior portraits and such.”

“I've visited in the fall and for the amazing winter light show just this season. I absolutely love what this place has to offer. It's so important to educate our young humans to care about nature and native species and the botanic garden is definitely doing that. As for the light show... holy mother of pearl was it so beautiful!!! I could have stayed forever if not for worrying about my feet freezing off ♡ will definitely return in the spring and summer ♡”

“Nice little park. They have a swingset and jungle gym thing, but a really cool walk path. It goes through desert landscaping. We saw a coyote, numerous rabbits, tons of species of birds which included a Roadrunner. Definitely worth it if you like the outside and desert beauty.”

“Very educational rehab facility for raptor birds of North America. The cost is only a recommended donation of $5 per person to help with the costs of taking care of the birds... More than reasonable! Very well kept facility, and accommodating for anyone. We made a reservation for 9am on a Saturday morning and although part of the group ran about 15 minutes late, they were very welcoming, friendly, and just happy to share their resident birds with us . We were the only group at the facility for the whole 2 hour visit, and we learned a lot and were even able to hand feed several of the beautiful birds. Each had very distinct and entertaining personalities. Our guide was great and Wazoo the bald eagle was the highlight of it visit. They have a nice covered shelter and picnic area they can make available as well. It is all outdoors otherwise, so weather could be an issue. We all had a great time and really enjoyed our visit! Would recommend for any bird lovers.”
