“Big and small dogs in the same area! The big dogs were a little too aggressive for my smaller dogs. I wish they had a sperate area like other dog parks, big / small. Location is a little bit out of the way, but nice setup.”

“Beautiful preserve. Didn’t get to walk the trail as the recent rains caused the swamp to cover the trail no did see the red maroons for a trail, though. Google maps directions do not get one to the ‘main’ entrance. The entrance is on Rt404 where it’s called ‘bear swamp road.’”

“A beautiful area to observe animals and take in the area between Elk and Mississippi rivers. Rough trails so it probably isn't great for people not steady on their feet, or for small kids. We went in March and with snow melting soon, it will get mucky. We saw eagles, hawks, deer, gees, swans, and evidence/tracks from coyotes and maybe wolves and big cats. We'll need rubber boots if we go back there soon. Definitely a beautiful place to go. Leave your dogs at home though, dogs (even on leash) are not allowed.”

“I hosted a birthday picnic here with my family and it was a wonderful time. The park had a little water fountain with a hose bib so we were able to make water balloons. (We cleaned up as much as possible 😅). I like the playground as it has a lot of fun stuff for the kids. There are 2 ramadas and 4 tables as well as some benches spread about. Lots of grassy areas to roam and fly kites. Just enough trees for some shaded areas. Overall very pleasant and peaceful. It's a hidden gem for sure.”

“Stopped to let dog potty here where we noticed an enormous cloud of gray smoke, though we seen it we never figured this mystery out. Forever clueless about the accountable source for creating this stale marijuana ☁️ cloud. It was During this time I opened the hood on my car; The short time of doing a quick maintenance checkup is the same event where i had 2 friendly and local female citizens, stop to offer me a ride and or a vehicle battery jump. “Cinco stars all around! Hard to get going though. Not clearly marked. It would be nice if the map included clear locations as well as marked on signs in the park. A logical frame of reference on where to start would be sweet. But I had a super time and met some cool people and did some awesome jumps and trails. I will go back there again in a heartbeat”

“Absolutely beautiful. Perfect place to take your family and trust me, your dog will love it. Good place to relax, and to enjoy nature. There is a stunning view of Mt Rainier from this place. The waters are very quite and the place looks like a mirror. The lighthouse is small, but looks very pretty in the pictures too. It could be a good place for a romantic date too. Just make sure to check the weather before going, because it can be very windy if it is raining. I think this is a must go. And the ferry ⛴ experience is very interesting too.”

“This is a really cool park and now will connect with a large play area with zip line and huge slide and natural rock stairs. Really doing a ton of work there. The trails are quiet and webs cross them most trips so be prepared. Nice artwork and playset. Nice pong with fountain. Just all around great city park tucked in suburbia.”
