“Wonderful park. My dog always gets filthy, but that is because she is having so much fun. My toddler, our dog, and I go just about every single morning so we see regulars whom are very nice.”

“A loves to exercise and he has this awesome park about 15 minutes from husband G's apartment. The park is open and safe. Safe is not a normal thing in Stockton so it was pleasantly surprising this huge park is so scenic, clean and safe. A feels confident he won't get murdered walking or jogging through so that's a good thing. Tennis courts, some hoops and a nice trail in an upscale neighborhood, Fritz Grupe Park makes living in Stockton a touch better and does it's namesake proud.”

“This is a really nice community park. The kids love the basketball, and beach volleyball courts. There is a nice path to walk the dogs while they play. The addition of the swing set was much needed. With nice bathrooms, and water fountains this park competes with the best of them.”

“Wonderful, unadulterated nature area. There are no trails or other facilities/amenities. It is a go where you want, but walk gently and disturb the nature as little as possible. There are many swampy areas throughout and a few small streams, more after big rainfalls. A great place to explore, search, and identify. There have been many types of fungi found. Very low visit rate.”

“Stayed here with my family of 3 and dogs. We will coming back and soon. Great park, clean and very peaceful feeling. We didn’t use the bathhouse as we stayed in our travel trailer but everything else was perfect. RV sites are mostly leveled in a pull through paved and concrete pad but is mostly dirt. Must of them have a picnic table in concrete slab and with aluminum shelter so you don’t have the sun on top of you while eating outside. We stayed in site 27, has shadows and no neighbors in the back. Be aware that you are camping in nature, a lot of ants around I recommend to wear closed shoes. Really amazing park.”

“Palmer Park has a little something for everyone. The first time I came here with my 4 year old son, just at the start of spring, and there were geese with little fuzzy yellow ducklings everywhere! Do not feed or touch the animals(not a petting zoo) but a great place to see wild amazing nature... in the city. there are two parks, a lake with islands and a windmill, super friendly ducks who swim up to you .. dont feed them... leave no trace there are trash cans... there is a cool nature walk through the forest from one park to the other splash pads in the summer and alot of people who love this place. Yes it is in city, yes, there are maybe some things you may not see if you are from the burbs parents.. but hey! it builds character, teaching moments right?... no the fountain doesn't work...but it's pretty cool and the splash pad does work! The playgrounds are awesome. mind the one by the splash pad that spinny chair does go fast. there are tennis courts, handball courts, basketball court, and disc golf course! orchards gardens and primitive grade a Michigan forest... that is fully accessible with a fully paved walking path if one is in a wheelchair or pushing a stroller.”
