“This camping spot was accommodating to our needs, we felt safe, and it's in a convenient location. We enjoyed the drive-in movie theater nearby. The time of year that we visited the KOA had dead vegetation, hopefully there is more green grass and nice trees according to their pictures. The dog park access was convenient, we really liked this place, we will stay again. Military discount and location near Texas Tech was our main considerations.”

Oenslager Nature Center

“One of the best places in northeast ohio to go for a peaceful run in nature. No pets or bikes allowed, a great place to unwind and relax. Most of the trails are unpaved and are just grass, keep this in mind if considering visiting after a bout of heavy rain. An extremely serene and quiet place to de-stress”

“A beautiful state park next to the ocean. It turned so romantic during sunset time. Of course during day time, it was a perfect place to take photos with the ocean as well. Another thing to mention is that it is a good place for fishing. We saw many fishers there from day to night. The park is free while you need to pay $7 of parking fee. Plus, there is a $18 of toll on both directions.”

Shelby Farms Park

Address: 6903 Great View Dr N, Memphis, TN 38134, USA

Park

“A wonderful safe, clean park to visit. Spent about 4 hours there and will def have to go back. The visitor center has the map and info if you are new to going. Also, mostly clean restrooms. The same building has a cute giftshop as well. This building sets atop the land of Hyde Lake. Adjacent to it is Coastal Fish company, which we plan to return and visit. 1st we visited the dog park area, lots of fields and some small ponds/lakes for your dog to cool off in. Huge amount to just be able to run and play, as that area dogs can be off leash. Then we went to the Hyde park area, walked around Hyde Lake, sat on some waterside lounge chairs. They have scooter and bike rentals there (via an app). Also a boat rental, but it appeared close (think everything opens 4/23 on water rentals). Definitely plan to return to do the horseback riding, the miniature golf and ape adventure area, as well as check out some of the wooded trails. This park, if guessing, to experience everything would take a solid weekend, perhaps 2 weekends. Gorgeous views!”

River Raisin Canoe Livery

Address: 1151 Plank Rd, Dundee, MI 48131, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Amazing fun time! Sites are primitive only but such an amazing hidden gem. Was a fun date weekend with just the hubs and I - we took their half day canoeing and a camping spot and enjoyed all of it. They have bathrooms. No showers though. But for a weekend it was good. (Brought shower wipes) there was a volley ball net. A huge grass area. A small playground. A picnic area. They rent canoes and kayaks either by the hour or half and day drop offs. They allow one dog per site. Great for kids too. If you have more than 4 people I'd suggest 2 sites next to each other”

Rivers' Bend Park

Address: 5000 142nd Ln NW, Ramsey, MN 55303, USA

“Nice quiet park with a grill next to the playground and picnic tables. A few feet away is a sprinkler that the kids had fun playing with only reason I'm giving it four stars is the porta potty is across the parking lot not to far for adults but definitely would want to walk with your kids with cars driving around.”

“I walk my dog there. It's often I run into under aged stoners hiding from their parents getting high at night. Some toys for the kids as you can see in the picture but definently not some place to plan an all day event at. A couple tables and one bench. There's a doggy doo bag dispenser as you enter. Side benefit is you can cross the bridge and be on school grounds and use their young kids playground toys and 4 basketball hoops for the older kids. A track to get your exercise on as well.”

“Great environment. Friendly staff. Happy animals. A truly wonderful experience where you can experience a pleasant well kept environment and lovely animals. The staff had great recommendations and were super friendly and welcoming. We got to pet the cows (Maggie, Lola, Dot and many more), the sheep shearing event was already over sadly. The goats and bunnies were lively and allowed us a lot of time to enjoy their furry goodness. Their tiny train tracks and little village were awesome too! All in all, great well kept environment to take the entire family on a fun animal adventure. 100% recommend!”

Campbell Creek Trail

Address: 2365 E 48th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99507, USA

Park

“I absolutely love this trail system. Last year I used it to commute to work everyday, a nice slice of "wilderness" in the middle of a busy city. Tons of moose make the bike a bit more fun. In the spring/summer/fall I use it for biking, in the winter for skiing. A lot of connections with other parks/trail systems. Definitely worth a checkout if you are in the area. Follows a creek the whole way, lots of wildlife, decent privacy if you commute in the am.”

La Bella Fontana Park

Address: 90 Corinthian Walk, Long Beach, CA 90803, USA

Park

“La Bella Fontana di Napoli is a graceful three tiered fountain that was installed in 1971 and has been the center meeting point on Naples Island, The fountain has its own park-like setting. Naples, Italy resembles this park with the sound of falling water and the illumination of the lights at night. It also has a feel of Venice - Italy since there are Italian themed canals flowing with boats & gondolas all year long. Read some more details below about the fountain. Ricardo the Realtor loves this fountain! History of the Fountain This site was donated to the City in 1933 by the Belmont Shore Development Company and was known as "Circle Park Naples". It was renamed "Bella Flora Park" by the Park Commission in 1934. The old Naples Hotel once stood to the west of this site. The original park improvements consisted of a lawn area with large Phoenix Palms. It also included a vent for an abandoned underground septic tank. The vent was removed in 1971 and replaced with a Neapolitan-type fountain that rises in three-tiers from an octangular base. The fountain was dedicated on February 20, 1971, and renamed "La Bella Fontana di Napoli". The fountain was renovated in 2008 with new tile and lighting by City staff with assistance of the Naples Garden Club.”
