Vandolah Nature Preserve - ACRES Land Trust

Address: 16151 Tother Rd, Leo, IN 46765, USA

Park

“I really enjoyed my hike here and got to see a deer drinking from a stream within just a few feet from me! The only downfall was I'm just starting to hike and got lost out there for a while. There aren't really any signs along the paths and with there not being just one to take, it got confusing. If you're a pro, you'll love it! If you're a beginner like me, REMEMBER LANDMARKS!!!”

Jefferson Park

Address: 3801 Beacon Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108, USA

Park

“This is a gigantic city park with a whole lot to offer. The sheer size of the park makes it a great place to hike or run and it will take a while before you can complete a loop. There are also a playground with big slides and zip lines, tennis courts, a skate park, a golf driving range, a community center, an overlook deck, and lots, lots of space for the locals to enjoy the way they want it. It's pretty calm in the morning and gives me a great sense of openness and freshness. I love it!”

Sherwood Acres Park

Address: 4344 Foresthill Rd, Stow, OH 44224, USA

Park

“New for 2022... Playground! See photos. Nice little neighborhood park. I am deducting a star only because there could be a few benches or picnic tables near the playground. The playground is nicely maintained with some swings and a slide/jungle gym structure. Definitely designed for smaller children. There is plenty of open space in the park to run around in or toss a frisbee, but not large enough for football. A very nice feature of the park is the small covered shelter. With room for about four picnic tables. There is on street parking only, but there is room for several cars.”

Waimea Valley

Address: 59-864 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712, USA

Park

“Absolutely breathtaking views of the valley and flora of the island. I must've stopped every few steps just to take a photo of all the flowers and plants and wildlife roaming the area. Without a doubt this my favorite stop during my vacation. Everything growing is labeled so you know exactly what you're looking at. And believe me there is so much to see. Also I loved the explanations from the guides at the Hawaiian village huts. I wanted to learn more about life for natives to the island and the guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. I must've had a million questions and they explained everything perfectly. Please do not pass this place up! You can choose to walk or pay for a ride (cash only) but I promise you it's well worth exploring by walking. They also have restrooms along the paths and heading towards the waterfall they offer changing rooms if you want to swim in the watering hole as well as a place to get water and food (accepts card and cash).”

Clark’s Linear Park

Address: 720-740 N Millbend Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77380, USA

Park

“I mean....this park is incredible. It is nestled in the woods. It is almost completely shaded. Great area to walk around in. There are also a lot of ducks and turtles. I completely felt like a Disney princess walking around. They also have a very clean dog park.”

Veterans Park

Address: 4525 Dyer St, Union City, CA 94587, USA

Park

“a review from @amom2kidsandapark Two playgrounds, tennis courts (six full tennis courts, two half tennis courts with a wall) basketball court, ball fields, and a cement slide!? This park has it all. We were tipped to this park from a follower! Thank you! The newer playground has a climbing some, teeter-totter (watch out for the broken plexiglass. It’s been taped up to cover any blunt edges but it’s still there), a spinning sphere, a swing set with bucket swings only, and a short structure with activities, stairs, a straight double slide, and a disk hammock. There isn’t much shade over the structure, but there is plenty by the swings (including a bench). There are two circled areas with a rock border filled with wood chips but I’m guessing these used to be a sandbox. Over the hill is another playground with two slides (spiral and sidewinder), crawl through tunnel, steps, ladders, monkey bars, and monkey rings. This area has a swing set with standard swings only. Separating the two playgrounds is a small hill with the CEMENT SLIDE 🤩. It isn’t too steep and therefore very smaller kid-friendly. I tried to go down without a seat and I barely moved. There were so many damp cardboards around but nothing too great. We used the change table pad in my diaper bag 🕵🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️ and it worked perfectly. Similar to the older Union City parks I’ve visited, this park has a lot of well-maintained cement sidewalks ideal for biking/scooting. Just like the name of the park says, there is a veteran’s memorial but it is a bit of a way away from the two play areas. There is a bathroom nearby the playground with picnic tables and BBQs. To be closest to the playgrounds, street parking can be found on Gacoscos St or Hall Ranch Parkway. Knocked off a star because before I took my photos I picked up an entire bag of trash. 😬”

“I went into Massarants for products to clear my pool. I had been fighting silt algae since opening the it in May. Shane did testing on my pool water and gave me the chemicals to clear the water and get rid of the algae in the pool. He also put me on a list to bring a vacuum robot home to use for the day. I used it last night, and this morning my pool looks pristine. I’m so grateful for all the help. Massarants will get all my pool business from now on. Thank you again Shane.”

Country Meadows Park

Address: Universe Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114, USA

Park

“Awesome dog park! This dog park has plenty of room for big and small dogs alike. It has obstacles and challenge courses for training. A few benches well placed around the park to watch your dogs, this includes a gazebo. There is even a water fountain for the dogs at the North end of the park. There are two no leash required zones and one leash required zone, all are fenced in. Good place to socialize your dogs and meet awesome people within your community. Just be sure not to squeak a toy as others are trying to leave. All the dogs kinda come running toward ya. :)”

Cave Without A Name

Address: 325 Kreutzberg Rd, Boerne, TX 78006, USA

“Finally got out to this privately-owned cave and it was very much worth it. Our guide was a VERY enthusiastic young lady and she did a great job. These caverns are worth your time to reserve a spot to tour. They hold monthly concerts and host weddings in the caverns, too, so pretty fascinating. Great story behind the discovery of the cave itself as well. Really enjoyed it.”

Streissguth Gardens

Sundial Garden

Address: The Bartlett Arboretum, Stamford, CT 06903, USA

Park

Wells Park

Address: 1153 E Madison Ave, El Cajon, CA 92021, USA

Park

“Super shady place, not only due to the trees...but surrounding homeless inhabitants. The DOG PARK is very nice. Big dog and small dog sections along with an “agility” course where we go to keep our distance as the new guys. I hope people steer clear of this place so I can selfishly keep it to myself. Flako and Grizzly love it just as much as myself. Just be careful of the Beverly Hillbillies who think it’s funny to bring their big dog into the small dog section while their dog attacks the others. I’ve added a photo of the inbreds for your small dog’s safety.”
