“GREAT COURSE! Wish Colorado had an amazing course like this. Didn't waste time trying to find disks or tee boxes. Friendly people. I don't have any complaints other than the short time I have to play the course.”

“Great park. Quiet place in the middle of a bustling city. Calm and beautiful at any time of the year. Good jogging and cycling paths. Great for skiing and sledding in winter.”

“It's a nice place, just not many amenities. My wife and I felt it was priced a bit high. I get it's meant to be more for event participants but perhaps more can be done for general campers. The staff here are friendly and helpful. There is excellent Verizon cell service on property. I do wonder if all the sites get booked how will a single dump station support everyone.”

“A beautiful rail-trail but as others have said, perfect for cycling (with fatter tires), a little less stimulating as a hike. If you've done Banks-Vernonia it's similar except not paved and a bit steeper. Really love all the informational signage along the trail! Lots of cool history, geology, etc. As of 12/1/21 the trail is closed in between the last two trailheads nearest Vernonia (Holce and Wilark) due to active logging. There was no info about this on at any of the other trailheads or online. I decided to detour on the road to get around which has little shoulder but was lightly trafficked at the time. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're used to that kind of riding. I guess maybe call the county to see if it's reopened if you're planning on doing the whole trail. It could definitely cause issues if you're planning to resupply water and/or snacks in Vernonia. Scaponia Park does have water but it has a lot of sulfur in it and sure tastes like it!”

“We had an amazing and memorable day at Mines and Meadows! It exceeded my expectations and was very fun! All of the staff worked hard to make sure your experience is great. The equipment was top notch, lunch was delicious, trails were fun and challenging, and the tour was interesting and unique. So glad we booked this adventure! 👍🏼”

“Amazing Park and tons of trails for biking hiking and running. On top of this there are woods cut for a gas line for ATV and gas vehicles. Along with this the NJ botanical garden is located here. For the woods the middle school lot or lot 3 are best, other lots also work, be careful of pedestrians on road while driving through park. Busy on nice weekends as well.”

“A very clean, pretty park with new playground and lots of space to run around and play. No bathrooms that I could see, which was disappointing. Lots of well groomed trees providing shade for a picnic. Is surrounded on 2 sides by streets, but there is a nice parking lane off of the street along side one of the streets.”

“I wasn’t immediately charmed by this park as a good place to walk my dog but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Seems like a great park for kids and families; soccer and baseball fields, a large basketball court. Found a trail that goes along the railroad tracks with a nice variety of foliage. There is a large parking lot and it was quite full. Not my favorite park but it was nice for a change.”

“Soo happy I went here. The view on top is breath taking. Picture can't do it justice. It a 1.8 mile to the top of the peak. You can also take a longer route too if you want. The easy route is nice and easy. During a hot day you'll be find because tree/brushers will cover you. Cuyamaca peak is close by, but for now it under construction so you can't go to the top until end of first week of August. Enjoy!!!!!”

“UPDATE May 2018: Some maintenance work was done at the park, so it's looking even better now. They've smartly mulched over the larger sand pit and left the small sand pit in place. Where there was only one springy ride left on the last visit, they've installed two new springy wooden bugs. I maintain my high rating of this little gem of a park! If you're thinking about coming to Kiwanis Park, be aware that this park is specifically made for 2-5 year old children (give or take a bit, obviously) and isn't appropriate or sized for older kids, though the sign also says all are welcome here. I appreciated them explicitly saying that everyone is welcome. Pets are not allowed and the park isn't made for them anyway, so leave Fluffy and Spike at home. From the outside this park looks kind of tiny and a bit sad; when pulling up for the first time, we were anticipating disappointment. The green fence and the park being on a bit of a slope were hiding a lot of surprises! The park obviously has a good bit of age on it, but it is pretty well maintained and safe. The swings and play equipment are surrounded with rubber tiles to soften any falls. Everything really is the perfect size for a young child. The tube connecting the two platforms for the slides has holes in the side which let you interact with your child through them and reach into the tube with your whole arm if necessary. The black rubber tiles are old enough that moss grows on the borders of some tiles, and that actually makes the place look a little bit magical. There are musical bells and drums to bang on when the other equipment gets boring, as well as several sand pits, small rocks, and neat stump walkways. There are several flowers around the park which make it more inviting and there are lots triangle canopies that provide a little shade and a lot more visual interest. The turtle sculpture is awesome! Even as an adult, I appreciated this park a lot. I'm sure visiting at sunset and with no other guests than my family had something to do with it, but there really is a lot to look at for such a modest patch of land. I could have spent another hour there just taking photos of the flowers, stumps, canopies, wooden benches, concrete paths with embedded stone art, and so much more. It is a calm, serene place that feels like a lot of care and thoughtfulness was involved in its creation. I will definitely go back and enjoy the sunset there another day.”

They have lots of entertainment there at the campgrounds, party's and live bands. Always look forward to visiting future family at Paradise Acres Campground.”
