“Fun place to visit for a history buff like myself. It's crazy to see a place with such a unbelievable sequence of events. The thing is that you get to set foot in the exact location where the dinner family tried to survive the winter. It is tough to imagine this place being I. The middle of nowhere because you have a major highway and train tracks within ear distance. Having said that, it was well worth the ten bucks.”

“First time I went to this park, I loved it. Did not like the boat just drove up to right where we were sitting, people and kids were around, not to mention the boat fuel smell was bad. They literally drove the boat up onto the shore. Maybe have a designated stop that does not interfere with families swimming around. Tide was low so we were able to be on the little island, long walk but was worth it for us. Will recommend and return.”

“Really nice walk. Obviously this used to be a golf course. Many varied paths. Not very busy for a really nice event on a walk. Easy to talk as you walk without always passing people.”

“A beautiful park I went to a graduation party where someone rented a big pavilion. It's a very shady cool place to relax in. If you like to play frisbee golf ⛳ there is a wonderful course. Great play equipment for little kids, gorgeous picnic area also. I definitely recommend anyone to go give it a try 😉”

“We really love 370 Lakeside Park and not only because it is ten minutes from the granddaughters. The park is very well kept and the staff is kind and accommodating. There is lake that is perfect for kayaking (no motor boats) and fishing (do not need a license if you are a guest at the park). A 3+ mile walking/biking trail that circles the lake with enough small rises to get the heart rate up a bit. At the end of the lake there is a beautiful (and protected) wetland area perfect for bird watching. The park has a dog park plus there is a lot of paved and grassy space to walk a furry kid. If you have human kids there is a small playground and a sand volleyball court that seems to have more sandcastles than volleyball games. The RV park proper is large. There are three loops of RV spaces two of which have concrete pads. All are very level and most have full hookups. The end spaces in each loop have a direct view of the lake. And, there is a lot of space between RVs with grass BUT there are NO trees. If you are looking for shade, you are out of luck. All in all this is a great park with rates on par with other parks with comparable services. We are traveling with a 39 foot fifth wheel.”

“We love this place. Nice clean bathrooms. Clean playground. Love that there's big fans in the ceiling corners under the main pavilion for hot summer days. If only they had a small splash. That would be the cherry on top! But regardless my kids and I spend a lot of days here exploring and playing.”

“Underrated vintage store. Went on a "date" here once. Good memories. Staff is friendly as hell. Old timer just gives a welcoming, likeable vibe. Strike up a casual conversation while browsing the vintage goods. You'll enjoy it. Look through the records. All sorts of home decor. Find clothes you might like. Various kinds of jewelry. Bring people here and kill an hour or two just looking around. It's always a pleasant experience to show some friends. friendly customer service!!”

“For a small town, they really have a very robust schedule of available activities. One of the best pools in the area, nice variety of parks and a lot going on for kids, as well as adults. If you live in Columbus and haven't met Amy Jo from the parks department(the director), you really should. A true asset who cares about her job and helping people.”

“We have stayed here before in deluxe cabins, but those have been removed. The rustic cabins have AC and power, and can sleep 5 adults (2 twins, a full and a twin bunk above the full). There is plenty of room for a queen air mattress or an additional table if you bring one. Porch has two plastic chairs, not most comfortable. There is a fire ring and picnic table. The camp ground is very well maintained, has a good playground. One shower house for everyone, but it has great water pressure and water temps. Lots of things to do in the park to keep kids and adults happy and busy. The camp sites are really nice and shaded The RV sites are level and they do have full hookup sites available and a dump station. Definitely worth a stay however you can manage it, even as a weekend get a way if you are local.”

“Great, short(ish) hike that is fairly populated. Folks should know that: 1) a lot of locals and their off-lead dogs hike here (and are super friendly); 2) we did the ascent in 30 minutes and it's a good short heart ❤️ pumper in portions; and 3) if it's been raining, the Old Pen track can be super silty/slick/steep in parts; if it's been dry, it's super dusty/slide-y. Because of the latter, we chose to head right ("Old Pen Trail") at the start of the hike to take the steep parts on the ascent, and take the upper trail (Table Rock #15) on the descent (more rocks, less slippery). We did this as a brief hike before a long car ride home, but next time we'll explore the off-shoots (quarry trail, tram trail, etc) and make it longer. Views of Boise and mountain ranges in distance were fantastic.”
