“I enjoy coming here for bike rides. It’s an easy short ride. I think it’s 3.5 miles. Paved the whole way. There’s some sports to stop and rest if you need to. I noticed last time I was there someone had made a gnome village along the path. The park is well maintained. Great for kids as there is a playground. There is a bridge at point. It’s a perfect place for some senior pictures I’d imagine.”

“We went to see the lights here and were pleasantly surprised! The lights were wonderful and colorful. It was much longer than I assumed it would be. Our daughter rode through looking out of the sunroof and I've included the pictures she took. Wonderful family experience and well worth the 7 dollar donation, we left them more! Easy to get in and out of even on a Saturday night.”

“At 2 pm on July 21st (today) while walking a dog on the trail North of the playground area in the woods I saw a young black bear coming from the east on the same trail. We both saw each other about the same time. It was about 200 feet from me. As I was trying to get my camera out, it turned and ran back along the trail to the east. Just a warning to have your dogs on a leash and be aware of your surroundings.”

“A surprisingly diverse park that surely has special beauty in all seasons. I appreciated the labyrinth of trails with consistent paint splash markings. There are a number of attractive features including a massive granite rock face that towers over the trail. I was also drawn to the giant beaver dam in an expansive marsh, a lazy stretch of the Shawsheen River along the Blue trail and a dark swamp on the back side of the park. It's a great place for dog walking as well as biking and rock climbing.”

“Lake of the Isles keeps delivering a great spring and summer vision. Clear skies today but still cool at 60 degrees. I saw a blue heron and some kind of bird was twittering loudly above me in some protective manor. Great park benches for sunning the face!”

“Natural wonder and powerful too! Man, you having a rough day? Need a little pick me up, some time to ponder the natural beauty of this amazing United States 🇺🇸? This place is worth the trip and it's right here, in great ol' New York State! So peaceful, powerful and beautiful. Bring a lunch, picnic with family, friends. It's so worth it. You can pay a little if you want and get in on a guided tour. They seem pretty knowledgeable about this gorgeous body of water and the area.”

“A nice park! Something for all ages. Adults can stroll around beautiful paths while the kids play and run around on the play structure or open areas. The only downside is the playground is across the street from the shelter and ball fields.”

“Beautiful Lil slice of nature, so contained in a 6 block city park. Half is covered by water, giving a great view for watching birds, frogs, rabbits and a bunch of other critters. You don't know what's on the inside of this place until you venture in and see it yourself. It truly is beautiful.”

“This is hands down my favorite dog park! First of all - the staff is awesome. You can tell they really enjoy being there, visiting with the guests and dogs, while also keeping things under control. I've never had concerns about the safety of myself or my dog, which I really appreciate. Another big plus is that most of the area is covered in crushed granite; it makes a huge difference in keeping things clean and not holding in odors. The park is set back from the road so it's not noisy, plus it's really spacious and shaded, so it's just a great atmosphere all around. The drink prices are super reasonable and they offer a wide variety, which is a nice bonus. I absolutely love this park and highly recommend it!”

“Had some time to kill before catching a flight so decided to check out the refuge. Went for a nice long walk and saw a lot of different wildlife. They were working on a new building and parking lot while I was there that looks like it will be very nice once finished. If you enjoy nature and walks I recommend this place.”
