“Cool place, fair prices, vast selection and some absolutely beautiful euphyllia that blew me away. This is a long standing business run by a knowledgeable, experienced person. Went up there on a weekend with my wife and kids to purchase some goniopora and ended up getting more a few corals as well. I would have rated 5 stars but I'm not sure what's going on with one coral. We bought a $150 pink and yellow goni; wasn't open at time of purchase but we saw the mother colony and every other frag was great. Of course this particular goni won't open in either tank we have even at "ideal" water parameters. Goniopora can be tricky so it's probably not anyone's fault. However, I wish we would not have bought a coral that wasn't open. I contacted the owner and he was nice enough and responded quickly. Unfortunately, there's not much anyone can do so hopefully it opens; constant 78°F, 1.024 SG, .06 phos, 11.0 nitrate, pH 8, 8.2 Alk, Calc 430 and mag 1290 so not sure what the problem is. Not slamming this business at all; I should have known better to buy a coral that wasn't open. Would buy from him again, just wish I could figure out our goni!”

“Lifelong is a good name for this rugged feeder, which is impervious to mammals and highly attractive to woodpeckers. “My family and I stopped by here after picking up a puppy. We came in to find a collar, leash and I'd tag. We were immediately greeted as we came in. An employee helped us find what we were looking for and made suggestions based on her personal experience. After looking around we found the perfect items for our puppy. “I'm not a big fan of Pet Supermarket, but actually had a good experience at this location. They were the only store that had the dog food I needed in stock, so I went to get it. The cashier was friendly and polite, and helpful when I had questions. The store was very clean and everything was well organized. I ended up getting a bunch of treats too, as their grain free treat selection was really good. I also appreciate that they do price matching, though the store prices weren't bad. There are at least two Pet Supermarket stores closer to me then this one, but I'd rather go to this location. (Also, the parking lot is small and a little awkward if you have a large vehicle. There are other parking lots in walking distance, that look like they would be better if you have a big truck, or an RV.)”

“Easily the best petco in the Austin area. Just past the airport in Bastrop. The employees are very knowledgeable and approachable, ready to give good advice and tips on what pet is right for your new best friend. Austyn was the fish guru salt water tanks are not that scary anymore and he offered his advice in a clear easy way to understand, told me the average cost and showed me a picture of his huge salt water tank 600 gallons!!! The manager Kat was trying to close the store but never made us feel rushed. I have a ferret from them and he’s my best buddy Yoshi. I would recommend taking the drive to Bastrop to get the best service and advice around. I love this place!!!”

I work a lot in Michigan and was nervous I wouldn’t be able to be home for the shipment of fish I called the shop and spoke to them and they helped me to get my fish sent on a Monday to be here Tuesday (my day off). I also had one of the fish lose some scales they were very helpful in guiding me in how to help with that and how to properly quarantine my new fish. Truly a wonderful helpful staff and they bred really good healthy fish. 10/10 would recommend this shop”

They have live aquatic fish, some fish supplies and tanks as well as reptile food, supplies and tanks. Does not provide grooming or other services and not as large as say Petco but I seem to find all the products my family needs for our dog and reptile here at Pet Supplies Plus. With respect to dog food, I find it helpful that they are able to look up my information at the register and provide the last dog food brand/flavor I purchased. Staff is friendly and helpful too.”
