All of their staff: from the front desk to all PTs are very nice, attentive, knowledgeable, and great to work with! I've had the privilege to work with Larry, Abbas, and Megan. They're awesome! “In the Fall of 2012, I began to experience pain in the area of Achilles heels. By December of 2012, I had a hard time to walk more than 100 ft without stopping to stretch the back of my legs. The first Sports Medicine doctor, who evaluated my condition, diagnosed it as tendinosis (not tendinitis!). I was told that there were only two options available to me: (1) surgery and (2) platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections. Both options were invasive and, statistically, seemed to have had a limited success. Then, I learned about non-invasive Graston technique and discovered that Blue Hills Sports & Spine Rehabilitation in Braintree had an experienced practitioner of this treatment modality. After a few sessions with David Mansfield in late Spring and early Summer of 2013, the right Achilles heel had completely recovered, while the left one had vastly improved so that I was then able to walk long distances without any problem for the next nine months. Recently, I went back for "maintenance treatment", albeit I can still walk relatively long distances, with an occasional minor discomfort. Thank you, David. ”

“Linda has completely turned my life around - from living with chronic pain to a point where I feel empowered and really able to manage my pain. When I first called A Step Above, I was having trouble w/my insurance - long story short I had to switch my PCP and my network. I found Linda so helpful during this initial process - granted, mine wasn't the norm, but she knew how to navigate the insurance process, was patient with me throughout (even when I had given up hope of receiving treatment), and went out of her way to speak to my new PCP office to get everything straightened out. During treatment, Linda gave me 1:1 care for my tennis elbow and for my lower back pain. I received cross fiction massage and ultrasound therapy for the tennis elbow/forearm pain as well as exercises. She also provided home exercises for me and I could immediately see a difference with the pain levels. All throughout, she was attentive, listened to my concerns and worked with me to make sure I was improving. Besides giving first class treatment, Linda was respectful of my time - I have a very demanding job, which makes it hard to schedule appointments. Linda worked with me to give me a late time slot; she was super responsive to my emails/texts/calls; she also made sure I could attend the re-evaluations, making me feel supported and prioritized. I totally recommend Linda and A Step Above to everyone - she is just awesome and so dedicated to her patients!”
