“Our youngest daughter lives in Lancaster County and reported to Sheriff’s office that there was man outside her bedroom window and they were at her home in no time flat. She lives in the country near the southern end of the county which is not a quick trip. We were so grateful for their swift action. The man ran away when he saw headlights and the officers searched the area even bringing in the K-9 unit! They found him hiding under a single wide trailer quicker than you can say “Jack Robinson”. We are so proud of our law enforcement! They not only protected our precious girl, they restored our family’s PEACE of MIND! Our family is forever in their debt! We know they put their lives on the line for all of us and should be appreciated NOT JUST TAKEN FOR GRANTED! Or worse, condemned. “I am new to the area and I don't sleep much at night so usually I set out in my garage where I'm close to the door and away from any animals are strangers. One night I was in my garage but the door was closed I heard footsteps and then I heard 1 of our car doors open so I called the police. They sent for officers out And then they did a walk around and to drive around they also told me what to do to keep my cars and myself safe at night. About a week later it was 3:00 a.m. And I was sitting in my garage and somebody approached me. At 1st I was startled but I was too startled to move and it turned out to be an officer who came to make sure that I was who I was and not somebody who is trying to break in. She also explains me that there had been some Situations and again just like the other officers told me what to do to keep my car and my garage safe. About 2 weeks later it was maybe 1230 and I was in my garage again with the door open and another officer came by and took the time to stop I make sure that my garage door was open because of me and not because of a thief. I have never had anything like that happen in the city I used to Live In. Well people think that that would be intrusive I am happy to know that if they even think something is off they will stop and check that is way above and beyond their job description”

“#138 was very gentle when he arrested me. Handcuffs were actually pretty comfy and he had pink ones to match my outfit. Very professional. Breakfast was great! They went out and got Whataburger from down the street. All in all I would definitely get arrested again by them!”

“Yesterday, we had a problem with our house alarm while we were away so the security company had to call the police. The DPD (North Central) responded very quickly and luckily, it wasn't a burglary but was a motion sensor glitsch/malfunction with our system. This is the first time something like this has happened to us and while seeing police at our house probably worried or surprised our neighbors, I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to our officers, not only in our area but citywide. I also realize and am relieved that our particular incident was very minor compared to what so many others have had to deal with and have possibly needed the police for. They have a very hard, all-consuming and sometimes thankless job (especially these days) where sadly, too many people are all too happy and quick to complain and criticize while forgetting that these officers are human beings and have voluntarily chosen this as their career/job, many giving up holidays, nights, weekends and lots of other times with their loved ones. I'm so incredibly fortunate to not only be a part of such a great neighborhood (and city) with amazing neighbors but to feel like we're being kept safe and helped by these hardworking men and women. The next time you see an officer, think about saying "thank you." Just a thought.”
