“This is also known by mariners as the "Customs Dock". If you depart San Diego by sea, and make landfall in Mexico, and then come back to San Diego, then you must tie up at the Customs Dock first before proceeding anywhere else. There is a courtesy telephone located up the dock. Simply follow the dialing instructions and a customs officer will drive out (usually from San Diego airport) and perform the necessary customs duties while you are tied alongside. Naturally, this dock is also where the Harbor Police keep their rigid inflatable vessels. Consequently, please follow the painted instructions on the dock or face a parking ticket! The dock also is one of San Diego bay's public pump out locations. Consequently it can get a little busy in the summer time. Take note there is also a public restroom at the top of the dock along with limited free car parking. Naturally, at the top of the dock is the Harbor Patrol office which is manned all hours of the day.”

“I called the Bellingham police to ask if it's legal to smoke pot in a public parking lot and the police officer was extremely helpful and was trying her best to provide me with answers.... My children and I had left Walmart and a man was standing right by my car smoking pot (I knew right away from the disgusting smell, and when I asked the man if he was smoking pot, he said yes. It was so infuriating because we all smelled like pot instantly, including in my car for a while). It appears there are still some "gray" areas in MA, which is so frustrating for those of us who have never had an interest in drugs, and try to teach our children NOT to do drugs... now I (and my children) smell it all the time in public areas! Thankfully, this police officer (a woman... I didn't get her name) was willing to help and she even said she'd have an officer go over to Walmart's parking lot since IT IS ILLEGAL to drive while intoxicated with pot... sadly (unlike alcohol) there's no test for it yet. I'll pray this man doesn't kill someone on the road tonight while DUI. A big THANK YOU to this Bellingham Police officer for taking her job seriously!”
