“I stopped to get gas at sheetz by 355/interstate 70 on July 7th. I had seen a state trooper n some gentleman standing outside of store talking when I pulled in. Not knowing but as I got out to pump gas my husband was passing out, as I went to put my credit card back in wallet I seen Mike falling/leaning over in seat towards middle. I yelled his name he didnt respond, then I started to rub my knuckles into his chest to try and get him to wake up. I didnt have any luck, so being aware of my surroundings when I pulled in seeing the state trooper I started to run towards him saying help me my husband has passed out and I cant get him to come to. The officer and the gentleman ran to vehicle and started to work on him. At that time 911 was called and within 3 mins they was there. At the time of this I didnt get to say" thank you" to the officer or gentleman that was speaking to him. Later on my friend who is a dispatcher said his name is Nathan Rector. I want to thank him for doing what he does and being in the right place at my right time. Also to the gentleman that was there as well that helped. Officer get a bad rap but there job is never the same thing which goes back to there training. Mike n I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being there!. “Anyone else notice that the people who have been arrested hate the police, but those who have used their services to be protected are complimentary? I was once stopped for a burnt-out headlight, but after a document check, was on my way with a reminder to get it fixed (it actually did just burn out that evening). At any rate, the few times I have needed assistance the police have been extraordinarily helpful and prompt in responding. I will agree with the reviewer that the people answering the phones sound annoyed, frazzled, and are abrupt, but that's (my experience) pretty typical for a lot of establishments. At the end of the day, we should care if the police are being fair, keeping the peace, and attentive when called. My experience is that the BPD succeeds at this.”

“New Jersey State police for me are the best of the best . I live in PA and work in NYC. After my afternoon shift that finished at 1 am in the morning. Driving home. After leaving the 50 miles from NYC into NJ it was dark not a vehicle at all it seems like the walking dead the highway I said let me hit it so from 68 miles per hour I did 85. Then guess what? NJ State trooper was right there hiding in the dark. He pulled me over. He went with his procedure.( after my clean record) He was nice humble professional this was at 2:30 am he gave me a warning ticket. He could have make my life very very much difficult. Of course it was my fault. But he let me go. Thank you”

(I've never had a fix-it ticket before, so I wasn't sure what the process was.)
