“This is such a hidden gem. We came here on a recommendation from a friend and were originally confused to find it in a gas station building. DONT let that run you off. I've had Indian food from upscale places all over the country in my military days that weren't nearly as amazing as this. The owner is amazingly personable and he is dedicated to service. I was getting over a cough and when he noticed me coughing he was worried the spice was too much for me and offered to add some cream sauce to my curry. He was so excited by how pleased we were with his food he gave us samples of a few other things just to be able to have us try it. He's a chef from the Disney cruise lines trying to settle down and I just KNOW that if people give him a chance he'll turn this into a one of a kind location. He cooks from his soul and you can tell. If you’re looking for a fancy date, this isn’t the place yet. If you’re looking for food that will make you close your eyes in pure joy while supporting a small owner’s dream, this is the one. Would have been better with half the sauce with the sauce having had a chance to carmelize on the grill a little bit; also, seemed a bit too much like spicy ketchup than bbq sauce but nice afterburn without being too strong. Overall, I recommend calling ahead to place your order, to make sure they have what you want. Also, INVESTOR NEEDED! With just a little capital invested in infrastructure: bigger smoker, space for indoor tables, and maybe a couple more employees (a kitchen assistant and a server) and this place would be rockin'!”

“First Timer! My friend brought me & she used the words ‘inexpensive & quality’ in the same sentence which is my favorite for sushi. We were seated & greeted immediately. I love when you walk in & you are greeted with a smile, it makes such a big difference for me. We ordered two miso soups which came out almost immediately & 3 rolls which were thick & beautiful. Sometimes when you go to ‘inexpensive’ sushi spots the rolls are really small but here they were beefy. We got full with three rolls surprisingly. Definitely will be coming back! It’s by the Outlets of orange & Main place which I like because I don’t like mall food. Parking: was able to find parking but I can see the layout of the lot being an issue if it gets really busy.”

“My husband brought me and our daughters here and it was a nice dinner. The food was delicious! We ordered a burrito, chicken tacos, steak chicken and shrimp fajitas and chicken nuggets. Kids food-chicken nuggets was few with a coupon. The ambiance was nice. Only complaint is that a violent tv shows with people getting shot and disturbing scenes was on. Only one large tv but the glass allows you to see from every angle so it's a real shame that they didn't have a quality show on. Even sports would have been preferable.”

I’m glad this place has gotten such positive reviews, definitely made me want to try it even more. I ended up getting the Deluxe Chicken Dinner (4 piece with fries and a roll) as takeout. When I walked in, it was like I was transported back to the Chicken Holiday I was familiar with. The crinkle cut fries were just like I remembered and the chicken was moist with crispy skin. My partner and I go there every so often when we want Café style food because we know what we are getting with Carol's and thats a good meal and awesome service. I love their chicken fried steak and my partner loves their hamburger steak. My partner and I have been to many of steak houses where she's ordered her steaks medium rare and they all have come medium well, every time she orders her hamburger steak at Carol's it's come out medium rare every single time. I'm big on consistency and Carol's has hit that mark every time. I would suggest checking them out. After receiving unanimous recommendations for the Ruston Cattle Company from the dealership staff, we decided to give it a try. Despite living in the heart of DFW and Ennis being quite a distance away, almost what we'd consider countryside, our journey was well rewarded. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately struck by the authentic Texas atmosphere that resonated throughout the place. Live music set the tone for a delightful evening but still maintained a volume that allowed for easy conversation. Although Ruston Cattle Company is primarily known as a steakhouse, I opted for the red snapper, a choice that I was thoroughly pleased with. The dish, accompanied by cream Swiss sauce and mushrooms, was cooked to perfection and the flavors melded together in a wonderful way. The service throughout the evening was top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and only added to the enjoyment of our meal. The staff's passion for providing a great dining experience was evident in every interaction. For anyone seeking an authentic Texas experience with excellent food, wonderful ambiance, and friendly service, Ruston Cattle Company in Ennis, TX is a must-visit.
