“My girlfriend and I started to come here for lunch on Friday Lenten beer-battered fish; which was excellent. Today we stopped by at opening (11:00) and tried a couple of their other dishes. My girlfriend had the mahi mahi and she thought it was delicious and tender. She also enjoyed the sweet potato waffle fries. I had the Tavern Burger with fries. The beef was fresh and perfectly cooked (medium). The gouda cheese, over-easy egg and bacon made a perfect combination for taste. The fries were hot, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The service was great. Kerry was very friendly and personable and well-prepared, considering we opened the place. We plan to visit more often now that we've discovered that this restaurant has a wide variety of quality items on their menu.”

I was am not much on traditional breakfast foods, though splurged and had a waffle as a late night desert. I will say the place was clean and the staff was most friendly. Keri and Kaitlyn enjoyed their meal and the jukebox playing was nice. I had a nice evening out with friends and as far as quick and affordable diner food goes it is a great destination.”

We don’t go here to sit and dine often, but when we do, there isn’t anything bad and there’s always a table available because I assume most order to-go! I usually order chicken pad Thai, my favorite dish, and it tastes great here! “When we got the bill, we were charged $3 more per item. If you go, make sure you ask about the prices before you order. Not sure why we had to pay $6 more for our meal. No explanation was given. The food at Maya was good and there was a large selection on the menu. There is free street parking out front on the side street. Many people were getting orders to go. We tried the Chilaquiles con Huevos with red sauce and the Steak a la Mexicana. You can choose red sauce or green sauce with the chilaquiles. I wanted half red and half green, but they won’t do that. You can also choose to have all beans or half beans and half potatoes. I did half and half and I’m glad I did. The potatoes were good. The Steak a la Mexicana was good and spicy. Overall, a good place with questionable pricing.”

We literally died over the spicy bincho roll with Yuzu sauce, it melted in your mouth ! “I love this place! A friend got me tacos from here, and I come when I can.. My daughter is picky with her tacos and was craving birria. I told her about this place, but it was the weekend. So she had to wait till Monday. I got them for her and didn't tell her where I got them. When she found out, she couldn't believe they didn't come from a sit down restaurant but a gas station spot (honestly those type of spots usually serve the best food) Now, this is her new favorite birria taco spot! She used to drive to Dallas and pay almost twice the price! She said these are the best she's had. The only downside is that they are closed on the weekends, but I completely understand. It's a small family owned business run mainly by the dad. I definitely recommend that you try and give this place 5 stars!”
