“Wow, what a great store, especially for a small town. You can get whatever you need, literally. Lots of fishing supplies, camping, and whatever you are looking for, I’m sure you will find it here. They even have a great little cafe, with killer food. Prices are all reasonable as well. The staff are all very nice and helpful. My new go to store here, while visiting horseshoe bend. How did I never go in before, but I’m glad I did today. Killer food too, thanks guys. 2 BBQ beef sliders, with fries… $7.99. It was jammin, homemade, and I ate it as all! See you soon guys.”

“Just moved here a couple months ago and love it here. And in Love with the schools even more! Have an autistic son who has done wonderful since switching districts and schools. This neighborhood seems nice and pretty quiet. Plus its nice they have a great playground and a fitness center on site which I haven't checked out yet but still nice and convient. Also cool they have community gatherings at the clubhouse which u can also rent out for your own events. And theres a splash pad they are opening next summer that they already started to build. All this place needs is a pool and it'd be perfect! Oh and the playground/splash pad is right by a lake which has beautiful sunsets even in winter!”

“We stayed 2 nights only. Nice owner and layout of sites. Great big grassy dog park that was clean. The main issue was the grading of the sites. The whole park is built on a hillside, but the sites are not level enough. Every trailer had the levelers maxed out and/or used blocks. The owner was very nice and brought blocks for me so I could get level. With the sewer on the back end it was actually higher than my dump outlet. That made draining the tank a challenge to say the least. Also the steps were a big issue as you can see in the picture.”

Lots of spaces with trees for shade set against the beautiful mountain backdrop. I had a very peaceful and pleasant time here and will definitely be back. “We love the ranch! The owners are available in a way we’ve never experienced, they are very helpful and prompt. There is a huge sense of community within the occupants. So many times we had a neighbor who needed help and many of the other neighbors were available right away! The holidays are beautiful, as Alisha and Mark decorate so festively. The entire ranch is beautifully kept and everyone is so giving. The pavilion is a wonderful social environment, the public shower and toilet are kept like you would in your home and the gardens are such a great additional perk, as the veggies are shared! There is so much space to walk and it is so quiet. We would have stayed forever, but we retired and are now traveling full time. When we return for the winter, we will pray there is a space available for us. Our view was impeccable.”

“We spent a beautiful night here in January, 2022 This was our first experience at this base. It’s my favorite base campsite of all the ones we’ve been to so far in Florida. We set our tent up facing the water and the sunset was sublime. Clean facilities and friendly folks all around us. You can’t beat the views here, we love seeing all the ships in distance. Big tankers and other large ships passing by ensure it is never boring. We shall return!”

I never had issues with anything or anyone (except a little kid at the bus stop but it was handled quickly and efficiently) It’s mainly older retired folks and that was fine by me. If you’re looking to be loud and obnoxious and cause issues, I suggest you try somewhere else. The person who made the review about it not having kid stuff or whatever, this isn’t a playground or amusement park. There are plenty of parks nearby. They don’t have that because it’s a liability they didn’t want. I do wish they would have added in some tornado shelters. I still have family living here and if anything ever changed and I needed somewhere to move to, I would move back here in a flash.”
