“My step son has been going to this school since he was in 6th grade this is his last year he is in 8th grade...hes is in Advance classes and has lots of friends he has never had a problem being bullied and is nice to everyone. He is respectful and other than sometimes being a chatty catty he has never had any behavior problems...and because of this, burnnet has been a great school....middle school is never easy no matter what school you go to....its full of pubesant boys and girls starting to find themselves and their independence it all boils down to the parents....i believe parents have to prepare children for middle school....prepare their confidence and mental state or they will not make it thru unscathed. The only complaints i have is the fact that they have lockers throught out the school yet they do not allow the kids to use them. My step son is not a big kid so he has to lug a huge bookbag full of all his books on his back all day its not good for his back and posture. Also could they make that school look anymore like a prison? It might help if they made the school look more lively. The school pschologically wards kids away from learning, it makes them feel like they are being force or their being locked up or caged...if they could make the school look more welcoming and do away with the fence that borders the school give it a paint job plant some trees and flowers it might help the children learn and feel welcomed..”

“Angela is an incredible teacher. My daughter decided she wanted to learn piano and after a lot of research, I found her. She is fun and so encouraging, but the learning is serious and real. It’s exactly what my daughter wanted. She’s playing properly and learning to read and write music. My daughter is fun but wanted the full musical education and not just learning to play songs. She’s progressed from 0 to playing well and writing her own little songs in less than a year. She loves going and even practicing and is very proud of herself. I don’t have to push at all, and can just be a proud, encouraging dad. The recitals are a little intimidating to her, but Angela made her feel prepared and comfortable. It’s the perfect balance of nerves and accomplishment. Angela covers all ability levels and ages and I think that makes it feel even more welcome and comfortable. I really can’t say enough positive things.”

Jennifer consistently provides actionable feedback and homework, helping our daughter to develop both her performance skills and technique. One of the aspects that sets Jennifer apart is her ability to challenge her students while still providing ample encouragement. Jennifer's use of technology (email and a tracking app) has also been an excellent way to monitor our daughter's progress and keep her motivated. In short, we couldn't be happier with the instruction and support Jennifer has provided our daughter. “By far the best high school in Grant County. Offers more college level classes than the county schools, and you are around students of all races, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds. MHS prepared me for college, and I'm proud to have a diploma from there! As far as the people below saying there are "gangs," then that seems to say more about the type of people you hang around. I never had that experience.”
