“I was a freshman the years 2014-15 and now I'm moving to the city, not because of the school. I'm actually quite heartbroken that I won't finish high school as a bluejay! But this school wasn't the best academically. However, I know many smart kids from Guthrie. It depends on the student to learn. My teachers were good, they don't take bullshit for too long. The school is more on the poor side. Mr. Bill Perring was my favorite! He's the choir director. He directs the musicals. Hes the pied piper leader and I think something with color guard too. The food was pretty good(for school food). We have some clubs but I don't know too much about those. I recommend going to Guthrie high school for not a specific reason. This school is special to me though. Thanks.”

“My husband and I both graduated from Vanguard. I am currently an instructor at the technology center. My son is in the welding program and our daughter was accepted into the medical program. Vanguard offers on the job training and experience that will lead your child on the path to success. All of the teachers and instructors care about the students needs in the classroom and out. My son has had success in his lab and has been able to compete at the State level in SkillsUSA, Ambassador for Vanguard , and he is in Drug Free Clubs of America. He has received a scholarship and his teachers have supported him in the classroom to reach is educational goals. Me and my husband decided long ago that all 3 of our children would attend a career center to further their success in school , college and the workforce. I definitely suggest Vanguard to any student that wants to reach the next level in their education.”

“Bryce did a great job on my hair. He clearly understood what I wanted. I have been a great clip customer and they are all about blending the hair in any style. The style I have is where the middle of my hair is the pony tail. The sides/back is short. Apart from Bryce I have also sat with two other barbers. Even they were awesome. If still Bryce is here than he is my to go person.”

“We've been at Parents & Children for several years now, and our boys have loved it since day one. We wanted a place with good outdoor space, and I can honestly say we've found none as big or beautiful as P&C's. The kids spend a big part of their day outside, playing, collaborating, exploring. It's such a fun and creative place - they sing, and learn, make art and come home dirty, their shoes full of sand, and really really happy. I know when I drop them off in the morning that they are going to have the best time, and will be looked after by the most loving, caring, and competent teachers and staff. Parents & Children is really a very special place. We really feel that we have found the best preschool in La Canada.”
