“My kids absolutely love it. Prices range from $8-$12 to get in ONLY FOR THE PEOPLE SKATING and $3.50 for skates or blades. Normally you can find a place to sit. Lockers are cheap .50-$1.00. parking can get VERY hard and they only have one handicap parking spot. All in all it's a very fun time!!”

“There are not enough good words to say about Shooting Stars. I really wish I could give more than five stars because they deserve it. My son has been playing with shooting Stars Sports for almost 4 years and every coach is kind, courteous, patient and caring for each child. As great as those qualities are, they teach kids in a way that encourages teamwork, respect and love for sports. Coach Mike, coach Chuck, Coach Sean, Coach Margaret and Coach Brenda have all been great but Coach Maddy has always been my son’s favorite. She truly teaches kids the skills they should know and makes them love playing at the same time. Truly wonderful. Ask about their parties also, had my sons 7th birthday a week ago and he already asked to have the same party again, he had an absolute blast and is still talking about it.”

“I couldn’t have had a better experience with LMU. Everyone, from the administrative staff to our faculty, was amazing, prepared, and wanted to see us succeed. I recently passed the NCLEX and the studying process was relatively easy because they had already taught me 99% of things I needed to know for the boards, it was only a matter of reviewing. Our program wasn’t easy, but it’s not supposed to be easy, nurses have a big job with a lot of responsibility. Also, they not only prepared us for the NCLEX, but they taught us how to be nurses, and how to think like nurses. They have a partnership with Advent Health which allowed us to have our clinical rotations at their hospitals (even when most schools were doing online clinicals due to COVID). We went to sooo many different units and specialties, from the Operating Room to the Neonatal ICU. We made great connections, and many of us got job offers from the units we went to when we were students! There were several schools doing clinicals alongside us, but LMU nursing students had the best reputation for being hardworking and knowledgeable. Our instructors were the best part though. All of them are accomplished nurses, with many years of experience. They go above and beyond to make sure we understand the concepts and to make class entertaining/interactive. We could always count on them for help if we were struggling with something, or if we needed clarification. Overall, I am so happy I picked LMU. I knew nursing school was going to be difficult so I wanted to pick a school that was going to help me become a great nurse, and where I felt supported, LMU was that place for me.”

This school is a hidden gem in the community and I am so grateful to have found them. Although there doesn't seem to be anything lacking, they are constantly implementing new improvements. In the short time that my son has been there, they even redid the flooring in the classrooms!! “Our son is 7 years old and has been in the program for almost 4 months. So far we have seen physical and mental improvements. His ability to communicate has greatly improved. He is now much more independent and is open to trying new things. The staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate my son. They have visited my son's school to talk to the teachers and therapists, and have made themselves available for questions from any other service staff that may be involved with my son. I have not seen this level of service from any other facility that has serviced my son. The Brain Balance staff have been a God sent for my us. We can sincerely say that our quality of life has improved. The only challenge with the program is that it's not covered by insurance, but if you divide the total cost by the number of visits and service you will find that the cost is actually less than what is charged by a local therapist. They do offer a loan option, but you may be able to find better rates at your local bank. I have also heard of families that use gofundme to help them with the cost. Even though this may be a challenge, I believe that the benefits are well worth it. Overall we are very happy with the results that we have gotten so far. The one advise that I have for anyone that's deciding to register for the program is to take advantage of everything that it has to offer. Get to know the staff and work with them to help your child improve. They can offer the tools, but it is definitely a team effort. There is a lot to do at home too so be prepared to work with your child. Most importantly have fun.”
